Sometimes I wonder if the ideals we were raised on was just a bunch of bullshit. Like Santa Claus. Adults getting together like "and then we told the kids that you should treat others as you would want to be treated, hahah!" And I was supposed to be let in on the joke at some point but they just forgot?
This. It really is this simple. There's good money in being a MAGA racist piece of shit, because the MAGA racist piece of shit consumer base is gullible as hell, will consume everything you produce, and be a steady stream of revenue. You'll never go broke selling shit to voracious shit-eaters.
At least the main even is a banger. The rest of the card kinda just seems like this is a "filler episode" event. Houston is diverse as shit, but not having more Latinos on the card seems stupid. It's just a random collection of fighters/fights from all over, and very few of them intriguing outside of the main event.
I mean, I know. I get it. But I find the things I'm witnessing on a daily basis so sickening and disgusting, compared to the ideals I was raised to believe...I struggle to understand not just the shift people are making, and the number of people making that shift. Like, I'm fucking distraught over what's happening to this country my son is going to have to live in...and seeing people like this just turn into hate fueled shitbags for some money. And I'm just over here going
Make sure you watch the "R" version that HBO/Max would show after 7pm. You get to see nudity in that one. The pre-7pm version is the "PG" release. Great flick that I used to watch all the time.
I want to clarify that I used the laughing reaction as 100% laughing at the OP. I have a feeling everyone that did so did it for the same reason. But I specifically want to point this out just so OP knows.
His career has been wild to watch. At first he was just a run of the mill college football writer, then he realized he could get more clicks by being a PROVOCATIVE one, so he spent all of his time trying to rile up controversy and would generally choose non-SEC targets like Texas. I remember one summer it seemed like he had a new pro-aggy, anti-Texas article every single week. This constant chase for clicks eventually evolved into introducing politics into his sports coverage (WARNING: JOSH PATE) and now he's a full fledged Fox News white supremacist.
And at this point, I think anyone who doesn't see it is a liar who does see it and approves, but they're just not ready to let their racism out of their country clubs yet. But they'll get there.
