What Went Wrong With Young Men
Not an unreasonable position. As said before, it's pretty hard to policymake your way out of bad parenting by working on the parents themselves. Maybe the conditions under which the parent(s) operate is valid. It is easier, and probably more valid, to try to policymake schools to provide some of the things that bad parents don't provide. Not all of them, that's impossible, but some. Free breakfast and lunch seems pretty reasonable, for example.

What Went Wrong With Young Men
As a child of a single parent household, I forgot nothing. Schools do not fill those roles today, nor should they. Look, I'm not saying positive influences/ mentoring don't occur at school because of teachers/ coaches/ instructors efforts, because they absolutely do. The part I disagree with in the bigger picture is that is somehow the responsibility of the schools to teach our young men how to date/ how to be a husband/dad themselves/ how to function in society. First off, in that regard, we're gonna have about 28 different philosophies minimum on the correct approach. I am not saying schools don't matter in the process. I just disagree with assigning them responsibility on that front. It is not their first, second, or third priority, nor should it be.

What Went Wrong With Young Men
Lets not overlook the fact that women weren't allowed education for much of the history of man. Sure, Gen Alpha and Millenials and Gen Z haven't experienced that, per se, but I bet they've got moms telling them to excel to they never have to depend on anyone but themselves. It's a safety issue for many of them. They're motivated. They can feel the stakes. They see what shitbirds men can be. Men don't have that same kind of motivation. Some kids get it from parents in the role of Make More Money, and some have legitimately good parents and kids who can motivate their boys for the right reasons. But lets be honest, the dynamic of equality have shifted things and I don't think it's unfair to say that many women are more motivated to excel academically. Because, they're not going to excel versus men supporting themselves as a fucking factor worker or longshoreman. If those jobs even still existed in numbers in America. I generally agree with your outlook , Motown, but you're missing Sawbonz point. Does potentially being raped compare with having to sit still? Of course not. No one other than a stupid, dim piece of shit would purport that. But that doesn't mean taking into account different maturity levels, hormones, every other fucking thing else that is biologically true wouldn't be beneficial to young men in a learning system as well. Because I don't think it's a coincidence that the successful boomers who managed to "get through the system and excel" in previous generations didn't have to compete against a bunch of women as competition. And now when equality is closer to reality, look who's getting smoked. I'm all for allowing everyone the time and patience to get educated and excel, and maybe on more sliding timelines. Different curricula. But lets be realistic, public school isn't going to accomplish this, it's only getting worse. Meanwhile, I don't think it's understating the issue that a giant population of unhappy, disaffected young men who don't see a path to success, and don't see a way to be respected and happy, is a fucking tinderbox waiting to erupt in the form of shootings and terror, as well as an economic disaster waiting to happen.

Ya know, I just finished reading Neuromancer while on a business trip, and hot damn if it's not a dark warning for where we're headed. Hell the instigating event for the main character is kicked off by his girlfriend stealing his RAM from his computer to sell to cover a debt. Between the insanity of putting chips and wires into our brains, to billionaire oligarchs trying to preserve their consciousness into AI constructs, to the rest of society turning into a perpetual underclass that exists to be exploited.... It's all right there

UT Being Ruined?
For bachelor of arts, I believe you are still required to take some classical civilization and a foreign language. If you get into upper division as an English lit, history or government major, you have the option to choose between a wide variety of subjects to complete your degree requirements. I assume what is going on here is an attempt to pressure the instructors of lower division required survey courses not to include “controversial“ required readings. basically censorship.

ChatGPT AI Tool— We all work for robots now
Good. People need to be very wary of technology and AI and push back hard or else we’ll have a few trillionaires, a few thousand billionaires/hundred millionaires and everyone else subsisting on the crumbs that fall from their table. It is not a foregone conclusion. If it was, the industry would not be cannibalizing itself to provide the capital to continue the push. They are putting all their chips into the pot and hoping for an ace on the river. The public holds that final card. I say that as someone in tech who stands to gain if the techno-oligarch gamble pays off.
