  1. Thanks for posting. I honestly couldn't remember what Filter did and had to read their wikipedia article. I'd buy filter's version of events. And this quote is dead on: “This country is so polarized. This isn’t the America that my family fought for. This is some guy trying to make a quick buck while he’s in the White House for a couple of years. Carl Bernstein said: 'It’s not the first time that half of America has hated a president, but it’s the first president that’s hated half of America.'
  2. Did Jake Smith win the best White Football Player in the Country??

It's a bad look for a reputable institution to keep a guy who quite possibly has substance abuse issues employed just because he won a lot of football games.

Looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately. I wouldn't say I've been missing it, Bob.
  5. We let people who believe in God vote. What's wrong with people who believe in Santa Claus?
  6. aggy never misses an opportunity to act like a little bitch so it's kind of fitting that they have one for a mascot.
  7. My 6 year old daughter looked over at me after Gamora got tossed odd the cliff by Thanos and asked “Daddy are you going to do that to me?” Me - Probably not. Did you clean your room? Im going to go by myself a father of the year coffee mug.
  8. Agree but we but we also shouldn’t allow 80+ yr olds to vote either
  9. 225° until 115° IT, let it rest while it rises to 125° IT I request 1.5lbs ribeye cut from HEB meat market, so the thick cut will rise that much temp while resting. Then sear the shit out of it over an open flame Many thanks to Imgbb for Armybrat'ing my pictures:

    Your friend's a giraffe catcher?
  11. I absolutely agree with all that. My frustration is with the purists who fall in love with their hero and literally declare the rest of us idiots for not seeing what they see. (It’s part of my aggravation with some Bernie supporters. Like, their tendency to just hand wave anyone not All Bernie, All The Time as “shitlibs” and the demeaning dismissive behavior.) I want a robust primary. I want to hear all about what all the candidates think and their stories. But you’re not winning me over with scoffs and smirks and insults and a starting point of defensiveness if I have doubts or sincere questions about something. Have a conversation with people. Convince people. Engage in good faith, don’t write me off as a DINO because I have issues with something Elizabeth Warren said and I would like clarification on it. And once all that’s done and we have a nominee, I don’t want to relive the primaries during the general. The ongoing sniping between Clinton and Sanders supporters that lasted through the general election was a huge distraction and I think played a role in low turnout. Which combined with the conventional wisdom that Trump had no shot, was catastrophic on Election Day 2016. All that to say, everyone support your guy or gal but you don’t have to be a dick while doing it. All that does is lead to hard feelings and resentment leading into the the main event when we need to be at our most united. And I, for one, will have little tolerance for folks who act like babies if the nominee isn’t their guy or gal. As you said, it’s over a year away before we have a nominee and people are already crying about opting out if everybody doesn’t do it their way. And I just cannot tolerate that. The thought of fucking this up with so many great candidates to choose from and ending up with four more years of Trump is just something I can’t even allow myself to imagine.

Jesus Christ man. TCU was 8-64 in Big 12 games before hiring Dixon, and two seasons before coming to the Big 12 they were 1-15 in the fucking Mountain West. They are 22-32 in Big 12 games with him. They hadn’t made the tourney since the 90s and you’re bitching that he’s only made it once and is a bubble team this year in his 3rd season. He’s had two seasons in his career without 20 wins and both of those were 19 win seasons. 2 of the 3 seasons he has missed the NCAAT in his career his team won its postseason tourney. His first season at TCU they had the 2nd most wins in the HISTORY of TCU basketball and you think it was a failure bc he was on the wrong side of the bubble.

How badly do you have to fuck up to get fired from Texas if you’re Vince Young? That’s like Cheers evicting Norm.
  14. Can you guys stop being little bitches about the coaching every time something goes wrong? Sometimes, freshmen screw up. If we're still having issues late in the season or next year, then yeah, we can start asking tough questions.
  15. Again, congrats Tech fans. I remember our last conference title well. It doesn’t happen every day. You guys earned it. Beard is a bad ass Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If Steve Patterson was an enemy agent whose sole mission was to destroy Texas men's athletic programs, he couldn't have done much better. We will have spent close to $60 million on two amazingly mediocre coaches. To be fair, Perrin and others played a role in some of that as well.
  18. Bullshit. 100% bullshit. See the post below. Shit, what’s “pure American” varies by region WITHIN THE COUNTRY. In Texas, hanging around the smoker, football tailgates, dove hunts on opening day, etc, are pure America. In Vermont...it’s quite different, but also 100% American. That’s not even accounting for what different ethnicities bring to the table - dozens of cities have a “Chinatown,” or “little Italy,” or any of another 100 nationality-based communities. And that’s cool, and utterly American. Shit, one of my daughter’s life dreams is to move to Berlin and open a Texas taco joint. Breakfast tacos, fajitas, chips and queso. And shit, make a big deal out of Texas Independence Day, and the Fourth of July. She loves Germany, she loves speaking German...but she’ll always be an American and Texan by birth wherever she lives, and that’s okay. Germany would be richer for it (because tacos). And we’re richer for the waves of Italians, and Irish, and Chinese, and Bangladeshis, and Mexicans, etc etc. Oh, and as for rude behavior, trust me, regular ‘murican white folks regularly compete in that shit at an Olympic level. Just because their assholery is more familiar to you doesn’t mean that it ain’t assholery. The only people who don’t appreciate the net benefit that immigrants have brought us and continue to bring us are insecure losers. And as we have a shitload of those, friction ensues.
  19. The family that goes 4-8 together, stays together.
  20. If this stupid motherfucker doesn’t understand the Christians ARE the Romans, there is nothing that will get through his thick skull. What a motherfucking idiot. Hey shithead, Jesus was a poor brown guy. He was in a caravan of sorts. The Romans could not possibly have been more like today’s Republicans. Wake the fuck up.

  22. 16 is too young to vote. But then again, they are being killed in classrooms and politicians don't care enough to do anything about it.
  23. That tetanus story... unreal. Irresponsible parents putting their kid thru that torture and creating an $800k medical bill that will never get paid. The rest of us picking up the tab. The state should definitely have a right to take kids away from parents. Kids aren’t property and they should be represented by someone that has their best interest in mind. As in staying alive as utmost importance. Yes that can be a slippery slope but slippery slopes arguments are usually made by cowards afraid to do what is blatantly right. Worry about the next questionable case when it occurs.
  24. Ban congress from sitting on corporate boards Ban congress from using taxpayer money to settle employment lawsuits from their own staffs Ethics code for SCOTUS Calls for amendment to overturn citizens united Presidential nominees and VP have to disclose 10 year of personal and business tax returns Automatic voter registration Restore right to vote for former felons Mandatory 15 days of early voting for federal elections So basically: Democrats - dark money out of politics, transparency in finances, make voting easier, ethics Republicans - BOOOOOO WE HATE ETHICS AND TRANSPARENCY. MAKE VOTING HARDER!
  25. I say this with all due respect to you, but you've got to be kidding me. People your age (and older) voted for a guy for president in 2000 because he was the guy that people wanted to have a beer with and they didn't want to vote for the guy who was the Vice President when the President was getting blown by interns, and he was re-elected in 2004 largely because they felt icky that gay people were getting married. That's "mature?" People your age just put Donald fucking Trump in the White House. That's "mature?" The public relations industry is absolutely dedicated, in general, to steer elections towards considering what they call "qualities," but to ignore policies. When you consider how in debt this country is, how internationally we perpetually give aid to notorious abusers of human rights, how we've systematically removed the middle class from our consciousness, among other things, it seems highly inappropriate to resist giving voting rights to people 2 years away from current legal status on the grounds of "maturity." There's nothing "mature" about what the current electorate does...at all. EDIT: And besides, the difference between a 16-year old and an 18-year old in terms of political intelligence is a flea's hop.
  26. Supply Side Jesus
  27. And I agree with that as well. We also shouldn't let them hold office or be in the Supreme Court. I'm not kidding.
  28. What would I do? I’d move out of the barrio.
  29. American media could learn from this interview.
  30. I like the logic of that second guy: Herman missed on guys in state last year. That's bad. Fisher is going OOS this year because the guys aren't even interested. That's good.

  33. That was Jew Jesus not American Jesus.
  34. Ok so basically you only care about your opinion. You are the problem. To be clear, in no way do I think Harris is the best candidate. I just think it’s pretty rich to blame people for settling for candidates because they aren’t “the best” but only considering your own opinion about who is “the best”. Its also rich that the negative you use against Harris the that Time Warner is a large donor and Trump can come up with some conspiracies. Essentially you’re arguing, not that she isn’t the best, but in fact that she is less electable. So not really sure even you know your point.
