Our general board's reaction, which I am willing to bet is unique to the Texas boards, is basically "huh. well, okay, I hope they know what they're doing. oh, and hahahahaha fuck aggie."
I think that we've had it straight the whole way, and a credit to all of the posters. Now, who knows if we're right? I will happily be wrong here. As we discussed way earlier in this thread, my issue with any recruit is "do they have something truly elite that they bring to the table?" and if they don't, they just need to be pretty fucking great at playing football or have high, if not elite, marks on all physical components. If you get one of more of those boxes checked, the odds go way up that the recruit will be a contributor even if your program is top 5 in talent and production.
Does Omeire check any of those boxes? The one that legitimately fits is that he's pretty fucking good at football. He's had great reviews this season and he was an animal at times last year, if memory serves. He's close to elite in size (6'3", 220), hand size (10.5 inches - this is elite), wingspan (83 inch wingspan, this is actually truly elite) and allegedly he could be elite in toughness. So, you've got another Nigerian kid coming to Texas with a good work ethic, grades, and some of the physical wants for the recruitniks. This isn't Taylor Doyle or Michael Wilcoxon level prospect here. If he's the bottom of the class, fucking great.
