We didn't have those channels so I had to watch them scrambled. DON'T SAY YOU NEVER DID THAT!
  3. Delayed harvest means there's zero expectations that I be anywhere on Thanksgiving, because I'll be working that day (unless it's actively raining or snowing). In-laws get Christmas Eve, my mom gets Christmas Day, and my dad doesn't give a shit about Christmas so that should work out smooth. No new drama on the horizon. My parents are still divorced and hate each other, my BIL still lives at home in his (late) 20's, in-laws still enable his borderline-crippling weed habit (yes, it's actually possible - at least in terms of being a regular adult), and their dog is still a complete fucking cunt. The only real development is my nephew turning 4 and starting to figure out the world, and how to push people's buttons. He's a fairly smart kid, and funnier than hell. He stresses my brother out endlessly because he's such a little shit, and it's total payback - my brother was absolutely obnoxious at that age as well. When he wants to sass my SIL (his mom - she's full Japanese), he starts yelling at her in fake racist Japanese gibberish just going "ching chong ching chong" and shit like that. Of course he isn't quite savvy enough to realize he's dunking on himself, which makes it even funnier. Love this thread.
  4. Just got the news that my parents decided to take all of us and our spouses to the Bellmead Luby's for Thanksgiving Lunch.
  5. I showed my wife the 8-slices vs 12-slices video. Her: That's stupid. Me: I agree. Her: Who would want to eat 12 slices? That's too much.
  6. Ok. If the apocalyptic destruction of the Republic affords me the opportunity to beat Chuck Woolery’s sorry ass to a bloody pulp...it MAY all be worth it.
  7. Between Bloomberg, DeBlasio and Rudy, I've heard far more than I would ever give a shit about hearing from the New York City mayor.
  8. He turned me in to a newt!
  9. And people wonder why young folks with an IQ over 50 are running, not walking, away from Christianity. Christianity in the US -- at least the most visible Christianity - is a con and a grift. With the added bonus that it's used to enable, shelter, and insulate the powerful, and as for "the least of these"....not only does it not help them, it purposefully victimizes them. American Christianity isn't just "not good." It's evil and cruel. And it's not even ashamed of being that.
  10. Just looked at aggy's schedule. They're 6-3 and will probably end up 7-5 with a win vs SCar and losses vs GA and LSU. None of their 7 wins will be against a team with a winning record (3 high school teams and 4 dogshit SEC teams: Ark, Ole Miss, Miss St and SCar). And yet Bama and Aub are benefiting from beating the aggys with a winning record in their dishonest overrated feedback loop. So tough. aggy is the only P5 team with a winning record Bama's beaten. Aub also has Oregon. That's it. That's the list. Can't wait for the always impressive Nov FCS vs SEC weekend. SEC is such a sham.
  11. Govt shows an email from Stone to Jerome Corsi on 7/25/16 telling him, "Get to Assange." Four days later, on 7/29/16, the jury sees a message from Stone to Paul Manafort that's about finding a time for the two of them to communicate. Stone writes: "good shit happening" One day later, Stone writes to Manafort "even though I know what we're doing is illegal, it's not enough. I'm addicted to raping baby seals and I don't care who knows it. If you don't love me at my worse you're just a fucking asshole."
  12. As is tradition, Kent's testimony transcript has been released by the House and can be found here. Yall ready for some highlights from the key excerpts? Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch was recalled because Rudy Giuliani, Lev Parnas, Igor Fruman, and others “started reaching out actively to undermine Ambassador Yovanovitch.” (Page 181) Yuriy Lutsenko made a private trip to New York to meet with Rudy Giuliani in order to “throw mud” at State Department officials, including Mr. Kent and Ambassador Yovanovitch. (Page 50-51) Mr. Giuliani was “almost unmissable” as the “campaign of slander” against Ambassador Yovanovitch and others unfolded in Ukraine and the United States. (Page 57-58, 178-179) The State Department reached “the breaking point of our disillusionment with Yuriy Lutsenko,” the Ukrainian prosecutor general, when they discovered he was “essentially colluding with a corrupt official” to undermine a legitimate investigation into fake passports. (Page 145-146) [note from me: Lutsenko is the guy that the west supported ousting, and whom trump/guiliani are saying was the "good guy"] Mr. Kent unsuccessfully pressed the State Department to issue a “clear statement of support for Ambassador Yovanovitch” after a series of “falsehoods” and “Tweets by members of the Presidential family.” (Page 65-66) Ambassador Gordon Sondland suggested that Ambassador Yovanovitch “do a video or tweet declaring full support for the foreign policy of President Trump.” (Page 67) The United States “had our Ambassador just removed through actions by corrupt Ukrainians in Ukraine as well as private American citizens back here.” (Page 133-134) Rudy Giuliani “had been carrying on a campaign for several months full of lies and incorrect information,” and his “assertions and allegations against former Ambassador Yovanovitch were without basis, untrue, period.” (Page 130-131) Ambassador Kurt Volker, Ambassador Sondland, and Energy Secretary Rick Perry asserted that they “had the mandate to take the lead on coordinating efforts to engage the new Ukrainian leadership.” (Page 202-203) Ambassador Volker had a private discussion with President Zelensky “to underscore the importance of the messaging that Zelensky needed to provide to President Trump about his willingness to be cooperative.” (Page 242-244) Ambassador Volker said “he planned to start reaching out to” Rudy Giuliani because “it was clear that the former mayor had influence on the President in terms of the way the President thought of Ukraine.” (Page 246-247) There was “great confusion” during a call on July 18, 2019, when an OMB official announced that “the acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, at the direction of the President had put a hold on all security assistance to the Ukraine.” (Page 303-304, 310) In August 2019, Mr. Kent had “growing concerns that individuals were pushing communications with Ukrainians that had not been discussed and endorsed in the formal policy process.” (Page 266-267) Asking Ukraine to investigate someone for political reasons “goes against everything that we are trying to promote in post-Soviet states for the last 28 years, which is the promotion of the rule of law.” (Page 261-262) After Ambassador Volker raised with a senior aide to President Zelensky that President Trump and Rudy Giuliani were interested in initiating investigations, Mr. Kent said, “that’s wrong, and we shouldn’t be doing that as a matter of U.S. policy.” (Page 262-263) In August 16, 2019, Mr. Kent memorialized these conversations in a memorandum, in which he expressed “concerns that there was an effort to initiate politically motivated prosecutions that were injurious to the rule of law, both Ukraine and U.S.” (Page 263-265) In September 2019, according to Ambassador Sondland, “POTUS wanted nothing less than President Zelensky to go to microphone and say investigations, Biden, and Clinton.” (Page 267-268, 274-275) Ambassador Sondland was “pushing” for President Zelensky to “send a public signal of announcing a willingness to pursue investigations” in order to “clear the way for both the White House visit as well as the resumption or the clearing of the administrative hold on security assistance,” despite claims by Mr. Morrison and Mr. Sondland that they did not believe the issues were “linked”. (Page 268-269) The State Department delayed in issuing internal instructions to collect documents in response to the Committees’ September 9 or September 23 letters, or the September 27 subpoena. (Page 26-27) On October 1, 2019, Mr. Kent alerted the Director General of the Foreign Service and the Acting Legal Adviser of the State Department that Secretary Pompeo’s letter to the Committees, sent earlier that day, was inaccurate. (Page 26-27) On October 3, 2019, Mr. Kent raised concerns with State Department officials about their delay in responding to the Committees’ subpoena and inaccuracies in Secretary Pompeo’s October 1, 2019, letter to the Committees. (Page 31-36) More corroborating evidence. More papertrails. More signs that it may well be a merry christmas.
  13. Friend of mine owns this. Just brought it to my attention http://texasrejects.com
  14. The 3-man front isn't the issue...lots of teams have success with it. The problem is what he has them doing at the snap. Dropping your best rusher into coverage while blitzing people from 15 yards off the LOS is not sound football. We end up with too few people in coverage and zero pass rush, so you're asking inexperienced players to cover a spread offense for 4+ seconds.
  15. Counter argument: That’s not what happened.
  16. I've heard this exact thing said about South Austin's mom
  17. You are so tendentiously stupid about anything other than A&M.
  18. Not directly related to trump but I fell into a YouTube trap of watching a handful of The Wire scenes. One of the suggested videos was Obama talking to the creator of the Wire about the effects of the Drug War. Could you imagine trump having a thoughtful discussion of any topic? He’s supposed to know real estate development. Could he talk about a real estate issue and possible solutions for 5 minutes? I don’t think he could. if trump has any depth to him, he sure as hell hasn’t shown it.
  19. Coaches who try to fit players to their scheme rather than the scheme to fit the players are typically dogshit
  20. So I decided to try and get a sunset shot of it coming in through the Eureka junction (where the old MKT yard is). Schedule said 7PM, but it got there around 5:15. I knew I wouldn't be the only one and when I pulled up there was about 15 people and by the time Big Boy rolled through, probably 40 and a helicopter overhead. Right as it was about to make the turn to head SE towards Washington Ave., another train coming from the other direction pulling a bunch of rock cars approached. You could hear everyone freaking out that it was going to block the view of Big Boy, but it cleared out just as it made the turn. I had hoped it would have passed by after the sun dipped below the trees as I knew this angle would be hard to shoot. I didn't get that lucky, so I am not really happy with my photos. But really, the shot I want will be on Friday and I hope that it works out AND there is a ton of steam coming out of the engine. Anyways, here are a few of the shots.
  21. Hugo opinion but Bloomberg has no fucking business being president and neither does any billionaire. Once you’ve spent your life maximizing profits you do not get take over the military or any other position of public trust. You might be a great guy and you might make a decent president but you chose your path in life long ago and it was to serve yourself first. Sorry billionaires, you already have enough power with your bank account.
  22. not cool to just post a pic of tjhooker's tailgate like that bro
  23. None of these people are Gods, especially not Bill Gates, and you have a weird way of evaluating who has done more for humanity. Say Obama prevented nuclear war but no one knows about it because nuclear war didn’t happen, how does that stack up? We have a real problem with wealth worshipping in this country and most billionaires have figured out they can pimp their philanthropy to avoid the accountability of exploiting the rest of society while they stockpile their wealth on the backs of working people. Bill Gates has made great contributions to humanity but it doesn’t make him a good guy and measuring him versus people advocating for change that would improve the quality of life of every kid not even born yet is a little off base.
  24. So we should play 12, you say? Orlando still couldn’t scheme that to our advantage.

  30. General George A. Custer still has unshakable faith in the Little Big Horn battle plan.. Can’t make changes out of panic. “Eventually what's going to end up happening is the 7th Cavalry is going to overcome and win soundly.”

  34. blah blah blah... make all the excuses you want, but we're going to beat your Trump loving, cousin fucking, collective asses this Saturday.
  35. 1) I've followed this case closely for many years. Reed is guilty as fuck IMO. Here's what I wrote on the scat site several years ago, with archived links: 2) Many of the latest allegations repeated in press stories about Fennel's alibi and ME testimony about time of death were heard by the trial court, where cross-examination was allowed, in 2017. You can read the judge's opinion here: https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/4345166/Rodney-Reed-Shaver-Findings.pdf. He did not find this evidence compelling (I did not either). 3) The latest allegation - that Fennel confessed to some white supremacist dude in a prison yard - sounds like complete horseshit, but would be another in a long chain of complete horseshit witnesses that have been paraded around by Reed's team as evidence he didn't do it. 4) Testing the belt for DNA will not be dispositive in any way. If Reed's DNA is found, his team will just say "of course, they were having a secret affair!!" 5) Rodney Reed is the not the hill you want to die on to prove the system fucked over an innocent guy. Find another case - there are plenty.
