You live in Austin, you tell us. My understanding is it's going to depend on the local Co-Op, or CPS in San Antonio, Austin, Energy, or any local MUD that provides the power. I don't think you're going to get a single answer, it will depend. The chances are the small guys over-hedged and didn't have to buy as much or any on the spot market, because they're less concerned with profit margins. At least I hope. But that's just a guess. Anyone here in Austin or San Antonio should be able to answer your question, however, specifically.
Am I to understand that you're just a complete piece of shit? Or just a partial piece of shit?
I've stopped trying to catch up to this thread because the ongoing bullshit from you is just fucking disgusting. Again, I've worked in and adjacent to this industry for 20 years. Your "just asking questions" both sides fucking bullshit all in the farce of an excuse of educating yourself is infuriating to the point of disgusting. You keep countering what folks here are telling you, despite the fact that they more or less are shooting you straight (Brisket and specifically GOLL), but you keep asking inane and leading questions with the intent of pointing fingers away from your fucking people who are pretty much responsible for this shitshow. And that's coming from someone who understand this industry AND still thinks the grid could operate without a capacity market in place if only some politicians and companies weren't entirely slimy, selfish pieces of shit. And they get away with their fucking behavior because people like you continue to carry water for their bullshit all the while claiming such complete ignorance. And to tell you point blank, the questions you ask and the way you ask them, really make me believe you understand the situation here just fine and are crafting them in a way to ensure the pissing youre doing into the pool has maximum effect. So go fuck yourself.
There's only one group of people have have been in SOLE charge of every level of this state the last two decades. There's only one group of people who were on watch when this happened in 2011 and did literally nothing to ensure it didn't happen again. And there's only one group that has the final say how things related to energy are done in Texas, the Texas Railroad Commission, a POLITICAL appointment. Now, I'm fucking pro-deregulation, I'm pro free energy market, and I can back my shit up with knowledge and facts any day of the fucking week with anyone here. And I'm here to say "But the Democrats wouldn't have done anything different" bullshit you have spewed can get shoved right up your equivocating fucking asshole, sideways. Get fucked. This isn't even a conversation about the market, or shit, anymore. It's as simple as who can create and enforce regulations and penalties, and who did or did not do so, and see to my part about the last 20 years of folks in power. So get fucked, you worthless piece of shit.
It would have taken a very minimum regulation and this doesn't happen. Just makes folks winterize. That's it. That's all that needed to happen.
