My mom got me and Gunnar matching shirts.
  2. I mean, come on guys. What are you comparing it to? The prospects we are pursuing at the top of the board are national recruits. Did you really think Evan Stewart or Kelvin Banks were going to shut it down this weekend? That’s a failure of expectations, not a failure of the staff.
  3. Oh boy. The wife bought a pro-grade snow cone maker for an upcoming party. This thing can process 500 lbs of ice per hour. Something like $300-350. Excessive for sure, but we’ve gone through several cheap ones over the years, and it costs $150 to rent a good one, so not a terrible long term decision. But today’s delivery of syrup is what earned her a new mention on this thread…

Happy day to all of you!! Y’all are a huge part of the equation, proud of all you assholes. I secretly still prefer today btw. Golf right now, going to the dive shop to sign up for more classes, gonna buy a dive knife, maybe REI to buy some water sports gear - duffel bag and a dry sack and otherwise represent as a Patagonia/REI girl who is a proud queer parent of three fine young men. They will mow the lawn and I’ll get them to hand me at least one beer today and we’ll finish with the CWS. Life is good. my two divers…
  5. Why aren't you covered in his blood and feasting on his organs? What the fuck is wrong with you?
  6. My son and me on the Frio, around 2013. One of my favorite dad moments.
  7. Happy Father's day to all the surly dads out there. Looking forward to hopping in the pool and hanging out with the family today.

Goody’s Father’s Day raffle made it a great weekend.

  10. This is the Harbaugh birthday cake of maps.
  11. Well the Aggies are 1-1 in Omaha so far this year. One more win and they’ll double their win total all-time in Omaha.
  12. Lol. Mine went and got a massage this morning and left me with the kids and a to-do list. I stopped requesting this because her regular response was just too creepy for me…”Your not MY father.”

First Father's day since my son died in January. I cried a little bit this morning on the 7am zoom meeting recalling how fond I was to receive a call from him wishing me a happy day and telling me how much he loved me. I will always remember those phone calls but more than that, I went to a 9am in person meeting and spent some time with a man who got 60 days today and then chaired the 11 am speaker meeting for a friend who played at UT in the 80's for Fred. My extended AA family is always here for me on days like this and no one knows how to help an alcoholic like another alcoholic. My story expands with each day like this when I do what is suggested in the program instead of isolating-a character defect that I am grateful to have had removed by doing my part. Happy Father's day to each of you here-hug your kids and thank God they are in your life.
  14. It's this, nothing more. And if you wanna know how it is expressed in words, Slim Pickens is your man.
  15. With our O-line, if Sark gets 8 wins, that is a good season. 7-5 is possible. I hope Sark radically transformers our personnel in the trenches, but until that happens, this is who we are. Don't downvote me. This is father's day, and some of your kids could be mine.
  16. Don't fuck around with the residents of Del Boca Chica.
  17. You know, I will say that being an ex mostly-Republican (always crossed the aisle on some races, but was primarily an R voter for a long time), watching the last decade plus, and continuing, has been incredibly humbling. I didn't just follow a political path that was wrong....I followed one that was utterly hollow, stupid, and had no guiding principles of any merit whatsoever. I mean, I've done a lot of stupid shit in my life, but goddamn.....having ever voted Republican is the fucking stupidest, and it only gets stupider with each passing second.
  18. Don’t blame the umps for any of this. 18 k’s through 7 is inexcusable.
  19. Zubia watching a third strike? Shocked!!

  21. Apparently my 14 year-old got me a gift several months ago and has been going crazy with having to wait. Finally got it today. Colt McCoy signed Longhorn helmet. Awesome. Wife of my best friend somehow got Ricky William's to record a 45 second "Father's Day" video for him. Pretty cool.
  22. Dad had pancreatic cancer. Son almost didn’t go off to college to spend time with family. Dad went through chemo and is now cancer free getting checked every 3 months. now he’s in the stands watching his son hit a home run and drive in the first two runs. Just awesome. first Father’s Day without my dad so this is a little emotional for me over here.
  23. Some A&M fans are sitting behind me, excited to cheer for one of their three teams in Omaha.
  24. I would like to think that if there really is other intelligent life out there capable of visiting us, they'd be intelligent enough to stay away from Wise County.
  25. No Art Briles? He's likely ahead of Petrino on that list.

Fuck this is such a cool town. We had an Airbnb in the Blackstone area that got all fucked up, walked towards some live music to regroup and ended up in a Polish festival. Met a ton of locals, many free drinks, got invited to crash in someone's driveway in thier motor home and made fishing plans in port A with someone else. Relocated downtown for the duration Uber fees so far are like 30 bucks with tip. Everything is so close
  27. Lolwut. Beyond what's on this current page, are you interested in college football as a sport like at all?
  28. "Son, see those Fords at the end of the video? With the power of an OU degree, you can be selling those for the rest of your life."
