Here's a non-sunshine pumping review of Westlake's latest 63-6 moral loss to Del Valle. As always, this is dedicated to @Ricky's one-hitter
Following their inability to secure a W during their bye week, Westlake trudged wearily to Del Valle to face a highly underrated 0-3 Dell Valle squad. The game began in typically desultory fashion, as Westlake was only able to stagger to 14 points in the first 3 minutes. Their bye-week hangover was in full display, as they were unable to contain a powerful Del Valle attack, who probably would have scored multiple times if not for the obvious referee bias. The halftime bell tolled like funeral bells for Westlake's season, as their 35-0 lead rang hollow. An uninspired 2nd half performance only added to Westlake's woes, as Del Valle's returned a kick for an easy TD against the hapless Chaps.
Dragging themselves home with a 57-point win, Westlake could only wonder what could have been in a season that once held such promise.
