A few things that might be worth reading. I've been kind of slammed in both business and family stuff for a while, so forgive me if this is old stuff. Just trying to pass on some things for those interested.
Arch Manning likes Austin first, second, and third, Athens fourth. The parents and extended family haven't really voiced opinions in favor of or counter to anything Arch is thinking at this point, at least that anyone around this recruitment knows about so far. The trip to Tuscaloosa probably winds up telling that tale. No news is good news after that visit.
Flood appears relatively high on Cajoe and Stroh but other folks around this stuff feel less enthused. Cajoe could be someone that pulls the trigger soon, so it should be interesting watching how folks view it.
ATM got the fastball by everyone in the last cycle. Georgia, Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, Tennessee, they all kind of "knew" that ATM was rumored to be pushing their chips all in, but no one was expecting Nolan to get $750k and Stewart to come in around $500k. Denver Harris will get $50k per semester as long as he's at ATM (and producing). No one was ready to match those numbers.
That won't be true in this cycle. For certain, Georgia and Alabama have war chests confirmed. There's also a seriously negative sentiment wafting its way through the sport right now about how it all was handled in the last cycle. Sour grapes? I don't know. What I do know is that there are a lot of people around programs that have actually won shit who do not think much of the nouveau riche cheese that ATM is bringing to the landscape right now. They may think "don't care, got Jimbo", but that same thing is what other people are talking about -- getting Jimbo.
Finally, from the above board side of this stuff, which is how everything will be couched going forward, whether legitimate or otherwise, there's a chance on multiple fronts for big time traction for Texas NIL efforts at the moment, including today, so wish ourselves a lot of luck.
