  8. actually this is interesting. c-span offers some unique angles, and i saw aoc call jordan over and you could tell she said something like, "we're ready to make a deal". then jordan was like, "oh yeah, what will get this done?" then aoc leans in slowly and whispers, "deez".
  9. Murdoch could do us all a favor and fucking die already
  10. Yeah, no. That motherfucker belongs in Southern California and no one should derail his manifest destiny.
  11. January 2021, we learned that Republicans are really shitty with the whole peaceful transfer of power thing when they lose. This January, we learned they ain’t much better when they win.
  12. Really talented, was a big time recruit out of HS (where he was recruited by Sark so there is a relationship there). Lots of upside but needs to get his head on straight. Worth the risk to pick him up imo.
  13. Typically, when things were still functional, you could horse trade and negotiate with the other guy because he wanted something. These folks want nothing. They have no plan or goal other than to burn it all down. These men are nihilists, Donny.
  14. For somebody named Lamp, she sure isn't very bright
  15. McCarthy is now channeling Roy "Tin Cup" McAvoy.
  16. This is quite frankly why gerrymandering is so bad for America in general. Whether Dem or Pub doing the line drawing. The problem is with security comes less and less accountability, and quite honestly a false sense of achievement. Hell if you win your district of 70% republican voters by 60% you are kicking ass! And your job is secure. Even if you want to throw bombs like Roy, you are pretty darn safe in your seat. Instead if districts were made more along obvious geographic boundaries and and not designed specifically to dilute certain pockets of support, we would be a better country. Because we would get more moderates. More people willing to look more for similarities than differences. More people to do what is reasonable, than to take an extreme position for likes on social media. In other words a greater core of individuals on BOTH sides of the aisle who want to get at least something done. No it's an all or nothing battle in legislation. The Hastert (child molester) rule where only legislation that can be passed ONLY by the the Republicans and no Democrats. Dems are not much better, but are a LOT more consistent is trying to reach across the aisle to find consensus. IF there were more moderates there would be a lot more bipartisanship. And quite frankly get big things done. The GOP is very, very good at being against things, and safe seats exacerbate this tendency. I know this is not as applicable to simply observing the Republican food fight, but I believe that gerrymandered districts allow for more extreme candidates. The kind that will default on the debt, shut the government down, and refuse to do anything if they cannot get their extreme way. Dems had the same problem in not going with Manchin's deal holding out for.... something that will never happen. I want to get shit done, that's why I am a social liberal and a fiscal conservative. I can find a moderate position in nearly every food fight...
