  1. Everyone assumes Putin had the guy whacked, but what if air defense just mistook his plane for a Malaysian airliner?
  2. no no no, the original is the right idea yep I cannot think of a way in which this could be a bad thing. 1. A mass murderer, who would be even worse than Putin if he were to land a coup, has just died. 2. Putin has split the loyalties of his troops, potentially facing another coup attempt 3. demoralizes Russian troops and civvies 4. One of the evilest and, sadly, more capable ru military leaders is out of the picture Every way you slice it, this is bad news for Russia. You can always summarize Russian history in one sentence: "Then, it got worse." This is true to that. pass the popcorn
  3. If you were just casually looking at how Putin operates you might think killing an opponent is localized just to his regime and that perhaps the nation as a whole deserves better. After laughing about thinking that you look at Russian history as a whole and realize this is how it has been for them for centuries. This is how they have ALWAYS existed. Again this is nothing more than a 3rd World country with a nuclear arsenal. They are a completely backwards and morally bankrupt country that has gone from one despot to another for most of its history. They are the Denny Green meme running into perpetuity. Outside of a full scale takeover of this country by the west they are never going to come out of their own self-imposed idiocy. In short Russia has the dictator it deserves. None of us posting here will ever live long enough to see Russia modernize itself. Putin will one day die and be replaced by the next Tin Pot dictator. Same as it always was.
  4. We're going to get so fucked by the refs this year.
  5. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also commented on the developing situation. "The fact that Prigozhin made a direct challenge to Putin's authority, the fact that he questioned publicly the very premises that Putin has advanced for the aggression against Ukraine – that's playing out and will continue to play out," Blinken told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell on Wednesday when asked about the incident. "We've seen the ongoing drama, too, of where is Prigozhin, what is the arrangement with Putin?" he added. "If I were Mr. Prigozhin, I would remain very concerned. NATO has an 'Open Door' policy; Russia has an open windows policy, and he needs to be very focused on that." The "open windows policy" was a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fact that numerous prominent Russian officials and businessmen who fell out of favor with Putin died by what local authorities described as falling out of windows or off of balconies.
  6. Crossing my fingers hoping for a civil war.
  7. Ya they really had a killer attitude
  8. Good article from The Athletic Steve Sarkisian’s vision for Texas football is here: ‘I’ve got something to prove to me’
  9. Personally, I would reconsider life choices that led you to posting a link to a WSJ opinion piece, particularly without providing the text in spoilers or at least some sort of summary. Anyway, my prediction is that the article is mostly bullshit. 2023 Q2 EV sales are up 50% over 2022.
  10. What a fucking shame. https://chicago.suntimes.com/politics/2023/8/23/23843104/suburban-minister-stephen-lee-indicted-trump-georgia-election-fraud-case-surrendern-friday
  11. Y'all need to unbunch your panties about Yormark. None of this should come as a surprise. He is a carpetbagger and carnival barker, and he is telling these rubes what they want to hear. We're going to stomp a violent, bloody mudhole in every team on our way out the conference and there's nothing they can do to stop it. So let him run his mouth.
