  1. Logically the move makes sense for all parties, but man do I hate this current version of college football.
  2. aggy will pay him $1 million just to sit on the sidelines for the Texas game.
  3. Man that bums the shit out of me. If nothing else Tre fucking HATES aggy and played like it in back to back years. I will always appreciate that.
  4. Any Texas fan that says they don’t like this version of CFB has lost their mind. This version is the only reason we became relevant again. Our boosters and administration were not going to play the bag game. We were getting left behind.
  5. Pathology results are in and I am cancer free, bitches!
  6. Bobby saying that Tre Wisner agent was asking for $1M to play this season for us.

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  8. Housewives across the Indian subcontinent just recoiled in horror
  9. Probably not because he isn’t retarded like our fans and knows changes are still in motion.
  10. Juluke walking into our RB room…
  11. It's a football game against Michigan. He's going to play, as he should. The point of being a football player is to play football.

Some of yall are stuck in 1995 in your Emmett Smith jerseys wringing your hands over this. Oh no! Not a RB. How ever will we replace his average production. A million bucks can buy two Wisners. I could get you a Wisner by 3pm.
  13. Yes, I hate all of that. Wisner was a recruiting after-thought with negligible pro talents who stepped up in some of the most important games in recent memory and far outperformed anyone’s expectations. In any other era of college football, he leaves this university as a folk legend and a symbol of the program’s turnaround. Instead, he’ll end up as just another guy from this era whose post-career activities will feature a degree from a school not named Texas. And yes, business is business. I understand why he is asking for more money just as much as I understand why we told him to kick rocks. It just sucks.

Hook Em Tre. Thanks for ou and aggy games.
  15. Why do you guys even pay attention to the sport? It sounds completely joyless for you. Also, why single out Arch as you bawl all over yourselves and rub your twats? Just make the spineless argument you really want to make and tell us all that Texas should have bitched out of this game completely. Maybe wrap all the returnees in bubble wrap until the Ohio State game and then y’all can pound your fists angrily and demand repercussions with the staff when the players all look rusty and out of sync as well.
  16. Through a ton of scouting I think I've found the missing piece for us for next season
  17. Which one of you guys write this??? 🤣🤣🤣
  18. You are apparently a “title-ist” as a fan. Titles or it sucks, right? That kind of shit is insufferable. I happen to love CFB in general. I like big games. I like bowl games. I like seeing stars play. Not having fun as a fan unless a title is won is the hubris of which you lament. Thinking that that should be so regular that it should be the only expectation is sad yet laughable. Good luck with it, though. We’re all excited to see your future Cassandrian posts in which you tell us you saw difficult game X loss coming and no one would listen.

I liked Tre and wish him well 🤘
  20. Unbelievable that our country could afford the effort and expense involved in saving Kuwait and Saudi Arabia's asses from Saddam Hussein and now not give a damn about saving Ukraine from a terrorist like Putin.

On day one, Shapiro, 41, kicked things off by warning that 'the conservative movement is in serious danger' because of 'grifters' and conservative 'charlatans who claim to speak in the name of principle but actually traffic in conspiracist and dishonesty'.
  22. I’ve found that being a borderline sociopath has actually benefitted me as a fan of CFB over the past 4 years. Seeing things develop for what they are and not being burdened with sentiment enabled me to find a path in the chaos that ultimately helped in all of the change. I do understand not liking the business and purely transactional aspects of it all. The thing everyone needs to either remind themselves of or realize is that there was a major transactional component before all of this, going on almost 20 years, and Texas and many other schools were being fucked because of it. The whole “having integrity and not being a shitty fucking cheater” thing kept routinely getting in the way. Once that’s framed right in one’s mind, it makes it all easier to swallow. I know you know this, but there are others who do not seem to grasp any of it.
  23. I’m not sure his “advisors” are advising for shit. If they were, they’d have been telling his dumb ass not to put the majority of his NIL into shitty, gaudy jewelry. They also wouldn’t be telling him he can get $1M from some other school. Having seen your posts and takes over the years, nothing you’ve “heard” has any link to any credibility for the rest of us on this board.

    Two dirty wops, amirite?
  25. The ideal scenario is Arch plying the first half during which we beat up on a Michigan team in utter disarray, and we see KJ Lacey in the second half.
  26. I don't blame him for wanting to be the starter, but it's also in Texas' best interest to upgrade the position.
  27. After a bunch of expensive mediocrities freed up a boatload of money for portal acquisitions? He should be thrilled we're clearly going for broke for his last year.
  28. What we need is for pussy posters to check their tampons and quit bleeding every time something happens that they perceive to be bad. You bled all over the board after Florida because OU was going to murder us. You bled all over the board because A&M was going to murder us. You’re bleeding all over the board because of portal news. Take your emotions out of it. We’re Texas. This version of CFB works in our favor. Keep stacking talent and we’ll continue competing at the highest level. 2025 happened because our staff managed the roster and season like a gaggle of betas. Now is the time to re-stock talent and we have more ammo to do it than anyone else.
  29. You should be compensated for having to skim six whole pages on a football message board in December and only receiving two pieces of news. Really sorry this happened to you.
  30. We had a leader that had balls, had seen combat, and knew the difference between right and wrong.
  31. If you subscribe to Defector you are familiar with Drew Magary. He writes mainly about football and sometimes politics, but this is one that he does every year for this catalog. Honest to God I am not certain I want to ever meet some of the folks who buy the high end stuff. Here’s a gift link to the article. He really went hard in the paint this year. Makes me laugh every single year. https://defector.com/the-2025-haters-guide-to-the-williams-sonoma-catalog?giftLink=e8d2de5c79ea2b424ab23269773aec27

Merry late Christmas to all my surly family! A lot of us have been thru a lot of years together thru good times, bad times and trying times. I spent a lot of time on here through some pretty bad times of self pity drowned in alcohol here and it’s always been an escape for me, a way of feeling connected somehow when I didn’t in real life. This year has been my best in a long time by far. Last January I made a decision to cut the alcohol down to a couple times a month if that and to totally change my diet, exercise and mindset. Since then my career has taken an amazing turn for the better, I feel great, I look great lol, amazing how that works. I’d like to thank all my random internet friends for being a huge support system for me over the years without even knowing it. Merry Christmas Surly!
  33. He was injured and wearing a collective of his teammates chains along with his own.
  34. Good Lord. "A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are built for,"
  35. This sucks, but it’s CFB now. He has to do what’s best for him, Texas needs to do what’s best for them. He’s been a great longhorn. How many teams other starting backs would you have taken before him? Fla, Ga, Ark, Osu. And maybe Sark is looking to get more physical.

I thought about this battle today. I worked for a bit with McAuliffe’s great nephew out here. Looks just like him, but didn’t follow in his footsteps and join the military. He really doesn’t like Patton. I may have posted a little about this, but I met a woman out here whose father was one of the Battered Bastards of Bastogne. She does not know a great deal about his service because he was mostly quiet about it. The chance encounter with her and her sister and helping them get back to their cruise ship on time got her to do something unexpected. She gave me a small booklet produced at the war’s conclusion about the service the 101st performed in the war. She also gave me the only notes she took from the onetime her father talked about his war experience. She asked me to help piece together where and when he was at a place going by her notes. I had told her why I was out here and she sent me that stuff saying that “I hope it can help you out on your journey.” One of the coolest things a person has ever given me.
