I understand your POV, but let's be clear on a few things. 1) College students aren't "kids" unless they're a prodigy under the age of 17 or some other anomaly. These are adults, many of whom vote and can, or soon will be able to, buy drinks. When I was Livingstone's age, I was raising a kid and paying my way through McCombs simultaneously. "kids" are in HS and on down. 2) A CFB player at Texas has one of the best lives possible and is given every opportunity to turn that into a bright and wealthy future for themselves. They want for nothing, their ability to graduate is a well greased path, they get as much pussy as they could ever want, and they get to make every connection they could possibly desire. 3) Many of them, Livingstone included, are making more money than anyone their age outside of their sport are making anywhere, quite literally, in the world. They're making more than many people at any age will ever make in a year. In short, extending sympathy to these guys is well and good, but when they prove themselves to be entitled fuckheads with not only zero loyalty (fine), but a craven need to go out and then shit all over the program and people (many of these people are donors who ask for nothing in return except the implied "do good for us" on zero ROI NIL front) who extended them those opportunities, they deserve whatever vitriol comes their way short of personal threats and hate speech. They're professionals and it comes with the territory, Welcome to the world, "kids".
