When you actively expand definition of parolee or refugee to increase numbers and then fly them in from outside the country that is subsidized and deliberate. 1. **Legal entry via parole, not asylum at the border** These migrants did not cross the Rio Grande illegally. They flew commercially into the United States on regular passenger flights after being pre-approved for humanitarian parole through the CBP One app or related programs. They were granted two-year parole status and work authorization before they ever left their home country or a third country. 2. **Processing at ports of entry or interior airports** After landing at a U.S. airport (often secondary airports like San Antonio, El Paso, Tucson, Fort Lauderdale, etc.), they were met by CBP officers, processed very quickly (biometrics, parole stamped), and then immediately released because they already had legal status. 3. Waiting for them inside or just outside the airport were employees or contractors of federally funded NGOs (Catholic Charities, Jewish Family Service, Endeavors, Global Refuge, etc.). These NGOs receive government grants (hundreds of millions of dollars under the Shelter and Services Program and earlier contracts) to provide “reception services.” A standard part of that kit handed to almost every adult male migrant was a new, identical gray or black sweatshirt + sweatpants outfit, plus a backpack, hygiene kit, prepaid phone, and often a domestic plane ticket or bus voucher paid for by FEMA or the State Department via these NGOs. No one voted for that. Then you get Trump again

Are you serious, Clark? I will spoiler. You could drown in the details. There's also a couple search accounts on line that provide details but you won't like who's behind them. An example, It's quite a racket. One of the many reasons that people are up in arms about slowing it or shutting it down. The truth hurts, Lizzo.

the two biggest things were real. Inflation. Also unfettered, even subsidized, mass immigration.

Yeah, those people are losers. And if you thought the Epstein files got him into office then I don't know what to tell you. He's doing such a great job of distracting from it that everyone knows about it. Put your tinfoil hat down. Touch grass etc.

Trump has focused heavily on foreign policy to his own detriment. I wish he would focus more domestically, but what can I do? Let's go way back to January 2025. What was one of the first big pushes he made? Mitigating and reversing Chinese influence over the Panama Canal. We've gained concessions there, but that fight isn't over. This is a continuation and expansion of that. It is pretty straightforward if you actually stop and think about it. No one is more obsessed with Epstein Files than Surly CR folks. Y'all suddenly think it explains everything. Good luck with that.

Could I get a clarification? How is this different from the double tap strikes we've been doing for years? Why the excitement now? I'm not following what you're saying here.

The crime was that it was a double tap strike, correct?

You're describing Surly. China and its little brother Russia have been shown to be absent when their "allies" are put to the test. First, Iran. Now looks like Venezuela. They are not ready for the big time. That being demonstrated so clearly is a good thing.

Who is apologizing for anything? This thread seems stumped on why this is happening. This seems like a plausible explanation whether you or I like it or not. Well, it's a simple question. Are they involved there or not?

I'd say mostly because of China, but it seems multiple enemies operate there with impunity. Again, I think it will tougher than people think to do what they plan to do and they'll pump up the drug war as a reason to do it. But that makes more sense as to why we're going for it.

And to renew the Monroe Doctrine is what it seems? It is never as easy as these people think, but that is the justification.
