  1. Fair enough, I see your point. For the record, I am cheering for the NCAA to properly prevent all of those players from doing said things as well. Evidently, college sports has been devolving into something entirely estranged about the college aspect. I don't find it "baffling" to propound that all of these things exist on a spectrum in which that is happening, but I can see why we should draw a hard line at eligibility requirements. Although, like I said before, non-participation will not help and if these go in favor of those athletes and teams then we may see yet another different transfer portal come next year.
  2. New here, still at UT. I thought the current mantra was "It's the wild west of football right now and you do what you gotta do whether it's respectable or not." I mean we are already certainly involved in tampering, at the very least with Siani, and sunk millions deep in NIL. I would think that lawsuits would just be another drop in the bucket of "All in." To me I feel like lawsuits aren't as scummy as tampering but maybe I am just apathetic to it all seeing the pandemonium of every day for the last two weeks. Personally, I am all about regulations to move us back to a more decent landscape of cfb but I feel like there's a Machiavellian notion of not playing fair in a rigged game.
  3. I'm not sure where this handwringing about the DL is coming from either, I am personally content with how it looks like right now. I am also super hyped about Justus Terry. If that guy is "not there in terms of size" then I must be a midget. Dude's built like a brick shithouse.
  4. So then why not sue on behalf of the big fella? Seems like Darian Mensah, PrinceWillSmith and Trinidad and Tobago can facetank lawsuits for whatever the hell they want to do in this day and age. Just make some bullshit up, throw a wad of cash and bolster our OL.
  5. We now have two people, respectively, listed at right tackle and center: Andre Cojoe coming off an ACL tear and RS Senior Connor Robertson. It seems to have become annoying for people to continue bitching about the OL but it was the main issue from last season we needed to fix going into the portal and instead we have picked up a ton of skill positions and almost no one to block for them. Obviously you cannot not be excited about these pickups, but for the OL the outlook doesn't look too great. Multiple teams are lining up for their bread rations with the big guys this year and we have had dismal luck.
  6. Will take away from the NIL money I'm gonna give to get Baugh but I think I Musbuy this.
  7. Seems like the #1 recruiting class is coming to a head next season. I made a prediction two seasons ago that this next season would be the one, but it's apparent that it's do-or-die with getting a competent OL this offseason. Trust in Sark, need him to go off again like he did in the 2024 portal. Next two years will be extremely important for him and the program.
