That's super cool. And that's a lot of Lilian Axe. I have the Poetic Justice vinyl. And body double is a favorite. Here is a good interview with Blaze.
Love PK but he's kind of an introvert and doesn't hold the room like a head coach should. If you ever listened to Jeff Choate speak when he was here you see a head coach. Contrast with PK, you see that he's comfortable in the spotlight but he doesn't want it.
And what others have echoed, we're all pretty sure he wants to be a DC for life and now he probably enjoys less recruiting with the unlimited coaches and they can put someone else on the road.
I have a love/hate thing with him. Currently, he's whoring himself to every pod around. Not sure if it is marketing or he's paid for it. He's now too close. Too many contacts in media and blindly believes everything they say. Probably has to fence sit on every team or just flat out say he likes them in order to not lose access. And boy does he love that access. On the flip side, I think he has good 30,000 foot takes on the sport and genuinely cares about it. It's the team level that he fails. Pate goes to a practice. Comes back and that team is now a contender because he knows because he was there.
I saw a youtube short of him on a private plane going to Penn St. The clip was all about him. Maybe that's the point but he's getting pretty high on his own supply.
None of my friends listen to him so I don't have anyone to complain to so here I am.
I like how he says 'some will say I'm in the bag for a&m'. Well if your weekly spots on texags and Billy being in your wedding isn't giving those vibes out, you certainly are far too close to the situation to look at it objectively.
The Texas A&M was one win away from the conference championship game line is sooo tiresome. They lost 4 of last 5. They may or may not have lost a couple of other games because the opposing coach did absolutely no preparation for the correct quarterback (LSU when Reed came in and Missouri not expecting Weigman to start).
When did this start? It feels like it coincided with the "SEC SEC SEC" banner waving idiots and they took it to 11 with the arrogance of a team that hadn't won shit since the 80s whilst having their chest out SEC annoyance normally reserved for aggies.
