  1. Not as difficult when you're one too.

I would definitely say there was a shift in TV land post-Sopranos where multi year episodic shows became high prestige TV. Prior to that, it was generally miniseries that had the big names and big issues. The long arc of a Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones didn't really exist. At best, you might get a multi-episode storyline that often was centered around a season ending cliffhanger. Then back to the unrelated weekly story once wrapped up.

I get what you're saying, but I think you're mistaken about your past. Don't know your exact age, but as an example, the year 1977 saw Roots on TV and movie releases that year included Empire of the Ants and Satan's Cheerleaders. The prestige factor has shifted back and forth between the two mediums over the decades. Both have a long history of providing both really, really good and really, really bad. The Golden Raspberry Awards have been around since 1981. Perspective is also crucial. 1977 had Close Encounters, Slap Shot, and Star Wars. But my perspective at the time was that there was nothing better on TV or at the movies than The Bad News Bears Breaking Training. I've learned to accept my wrongness as my perspective changed.

Movies have always largely sucked. It's what makes the good ones so special.
  5. I feel young again...and very old.
  6. There are no insiders when it comes to a CDC hire. Exactly.
  7. He knows that, it was just another pathetic attempt to demonstrate he's superior to all of us gutter trash. As usual, it failed.
  8. Oh, it's a thing. And it's spectacular.
  9. Raging Bull Empire of the Sun The Master Kinda weird as I've seen just about everything else done by those three directors.
  10. 3 total. However, 1943 and 1947 only required one win in an 8 team tournament so not really a big accomplishment.
  11. Per the googles, the cheapest Maserati (Grecale) has an MSRP of $68,500 and the cheapest Lamborghini (Urus) has an MSRP of $237,848.
  12. He was first to sign on for IM and the highest paid. IM2 rolls around and he says Marvel tried to fuck him and gave his money to Downey, Jr. Unclear as to which side actually blew up the negotiations. Director Favreau says he was a PITA to work with. Role is re-cast with Don Cheadle who goes on to play it in 5 additional movies, a TV show, and more to come. Also has a history of spousal abuse, so no sympathy for the fucker.
  13. I'd argue you're an ignorant pup that has no understanding of Texas Baseball.
  14. He's not insane, he's just lost. My recollection is that he mentally broke after getting booted from Iron Man 2. His career never recovered and he watched the MCU alpha the industry and Cheadle cash the checks. This is the result of a lost man searching for a way back to a life that is gone.
  15. How's that working out for them?
