My gf is El Salvadoran and can't cook either. Most Central American countries don't cook with spices and peppers like Mexico, mostly bland food. I do enjoy a good pupusa though.

What bars should I being going to in Houston?
I used to think the same thing about Washington until I drove by last weekend. East of Shepherd is still going strong. Downtown is also getting back to normal.

Pipeline Problem Potentially Problematic, production possibly paralyzed
Backups may have or may not have helped in this case. The hackers had been snooping around the network for a year before they took the system down. I'm sure they could restore, but it would take weeks to get everything back to where it was before the network was infiltrated. It's not just a simple restore.

What bars should I being going to in Houston?
There is also the Washington Ave scene. I'm not sure if COVID killed the downtown bars or not, but downtown did look like is was opening back up last weekend.

What bars should I being going to in Houston?
Pre-COVID I would say hit up downtown and walk around. Not sure if that's the case anymore.

New Orleans Food and Drink Thread
I don’t believe what the restaurant owners say, but yes prices are about to go up. Unemployment is fairly low in Texas. Anyway, I'm not here to discuss how a lot of restaurant workers screw over their employees. I just spent a long weekend in Boston and enjoyed the east coast oysters. I will be in NOLA the first weekend of June. Is that too late to eat raw gulf oysters, or should I stick with the char grilled oysters?

New Orleans Food and Drink Thread
This is not true and most industry workers are employed. I know many people in the industry and they are tired of being paid shit wages. Most workers have found other work or better paying jobs at a different bar/restaurant.
