  1. I ran into Dustin at the Lowes in Brenham the Saturday after the aggy football game. We were both picking up online orders at the Customer Service area by the front door. I was wearing my Texas hoodie, so he looked at me and flashed a quick Hook 'Em. He's no longer in playing shape, but still an intimidating looking figure. He's a county commissioner here in Washington County now.
  2. Sure they should, but they aren't playing D2 teams. They're playing D1 teams. FCS and FBS are both D1 teams and it's stupid to suggest otherwise, jokingly or not.
  3. No it's not. DII is nowhere near the level of FCS. Making a claim like that makes this board look worse than the goons on txgags. Texas doesn't have to hide behind anything. Our standard is, and always should be higher. We aren't them and shouldn't lower ourselves to their level.
  4. FYI FCS teams are still Division I and were previously referred to as DI-AA and FBS teams DI-A. Division II teams are an entirely different level. For the most part, the primary difference between FCS and FBS is the number of scholarships the schools give out and amount of money the schools commit to their football budgets.
  5. Raycom Sports still exists. It's owned by Gray Media and they broadcast college football, NBA and MLB games under various differently named networks across the country. They used to broadcast both SEC and ACC games as Jefferson Pilot Sports network before ESPN bought up 2nd & 3rd tier rights.
  6. Brenham tops Liberty Hill 27-24. Faces Iowa Colony (who pummeled Pflugerville 49-7) next week in a battle of one loss teams.
  7. Can't believe nobody has brought up Todd Snider yet. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/todd-snider-alt-country-americana-singer-dead-1235465277/
  8. Brenham beat Texas City 28-7. After their first drive, the Stingarees couldn't do much of anything on offense. The Cubs move on to face Liberty Hill next week.

So, my question with regards to the “Duty to Mitigate” clause, is how far does that go? Does he have to keep looking for a coaching job, any coaching job, until he finds one? Is he forced to accept a coordinator job at a shitty place like Youngstown State or something like that, if that's all who's offering? How long is he required to make the effort? I mean, can they effectively force him to take a job that he deems beneath him and if he refuses, they accuse him of acting in bad faith? My guess is that ultimately both sides will come to some sort of settlement to avoid having to address those situations, but if they don't, then what?
  10. I don't know if this counts as seeing a ghost, but when I was very young, my grandmother on my mom's side passed away from cancer. She had lived on a farm in deep East Texas and was tough as nails. She had an old farmhouse that was a wood frame structure on a solid concrete foundation. It had two bedrooms and a large storage closet on one side, and the kitchen, a bathroom and living room on the other, with a big hallway that was eight to ten feet wide that ran the length of the house in the middle. All of the floors were covered with old linoleum that had lost much of its' adhesion over the years, so when you walked on it, it would move up and down under your feet and make that "sticky" noise. At the end of her life, she wasn't supposed to get out and work her farm anymore, but she hated sitting still for too long, so she would get up and pace the hallway over and over. After she passed, we inherited the farm and used it as a weekend and summer getaway for many years. We spent lots of family time there and for as long as that house stood usable, at night, all of the sudden we'd hear footsteps on the linoleum in the hallway when nobody was in there. Sometimes, if the lighting was just right, you could actually see the linoleum moving with the sounds. In my twenties I would bring friends to the farm to go hunting the first weekend of deer season, and they would all get totally creeped out by the house and footstep noises. Eventually they all refused to go there anymore because they would be up all night freaked out by the place. Even though it was kind of creepy, our family got used to it and wasn't phased by it, but every time we brought someone new to the farm, they would be totally freaked out and uncomfortable.
  11. I don't really know what this thread is about anymore, but I wanted to pop in and say that the word BOOBS has three sets of boobs in it. Thanks for coming to my Tit Talk.
  12. The thing that always gets me about the whole concept surrounding the dead dog scoreboard, is the idea that the dead dogs can see through the caskets and dirt to see it, but couldn't see through the stadium to see the main one. I know that I'm overthinking it, and that logic is the enemy of aggy, but I still can't wrap my head around how they conceptualize it.
  13. Tha fuck you talking about? My profile picture is of Bigfoot.
  14. Brenham beats Gilmer 49-7. The Cubs avenge their only regular season loss from last year.
