If the EC12 is barrel proof you should fire on that. It should be since the small batch dropped its statement a couple years ago. If $60-70 it's probably barrel proof. It's it's 125 proof or more it certainly is.
it's great for a Manhattan. I cut the proof back by stirring in ice before adding vermouth and changing proportions to 1:1 instead of 2:1. Dolins or cocchi being the preferred vermouth.
My sarcastic point was how the White House uses "career personnel" to add credibility to Jared's clearance while simultaneously blaming them for undermining trump's legitimacy.
I imagine their definition of condescension includes anything from someone more educated, wealthier or younger trying to change their mind regardless of tone or merit.
^^^ FWIW a lot of Four Roses barrel strength clocks in around there. Also labels are fairly regulated (i.e. age statements refer to the youngest whiskey in the bottle and single barrel has to come from one barrel - which parenthetically is why ER10 changed their label a few years back). Not sure if the concept carries over to cask or barrel strength designations but the ABV isn't automatically a disqualification.
Also I agree the Belle Meade cask strength is a good pour.
