Thoughts...
I am finally getting my Civic's transmission swapped for a used OEM tranny.
Is there any recommendations or a checklist to follow to ensure nothing is missed?
I am replacing the torque converter and possibly the rear main seal while the tranny is off. Trying make sure I am not missing seals or gaskets or even filters.
99 Civic stock AT.
90's was still the big man/low-post era. 2000's was the transitioning period, because the bigs were from Euro league/foreign and majority could/can shoot. Which has led to everyone in love with 3's in present day. So, of course the 90's teams would get smoked becuase of the rules imposed in 2004.
Plainview, this week I'm in charge. So go eabod and quit drunk posting about who you think we think when dont know who we are when you know you who you are.
Currently, I'm replacing the thermostat on a 3rd gen Dodge Ram.
Sucks that they decided to place it under the engine (lower radiator hose). Anyhow, the wife said the Tgauge was erratic, so decided to change it. That became a long ass process. There are some many damn ways to refill and burp a 4.7L engine. So I decided to replace tstat then drain and refill. This was on a level ground. Flushed out the system. Did all the right steps and bam no heat and the temp gauge was over half mark. Note: this is a Mopar tstat.
Went vatozone and bought another tstat (duralst), lifted the front end drained the bitch and replaced the tstat again.
This time I filled up radiator and filled the expansion tank half way.
Now this is where everyone has a different process depending on the type of tstat. The 1st tstat had a bleeder valve but the rubber gasket was different all the other aftermarket ones have a notch. But the 2nd tstat did have the notch that perfectly squeezed into the thermostat housing.
Again....replaced tstat closed everything up and topped off the radiator ran for 10-15 mins until the temp gauge hit the 1/4 mark turned it off and allowed to cool and topped off again......the heat was back and blowing hot and the temp gauge is before the half way mark.
Test drive is all good and she's ready to roll.
Im taking that shitty tstat back to Dodge and getting a refund.
In my company, a PM or BA is a thankless position. Either you deliver or you don't. Or you are to blame or not.
We've converted from the waterfall methodology to Agile Scrum. That change has made my life a lot easier and my role a lot more important.
Pick your poison.
Just taught myself (using the interwebs) to troubleshoot and replace a heating element in my water heater. I've never fucked with one before so this was a learning experience.
No hot water one morning lead me to purchase a continuity tester, lower element was dead. In the process of replacing the element, learned you needed a special wrench which required hella leverage.
Then realized that all the sediment, hard water deposits was blocking the drain valve and l thought all of water drained.....I received a nice surprise when I removed the heating element, water shot out like porn star squirt session. Luckily it wasn't piss.
To make a long story short I got the bitch replaced and have hot water again. The W.H. is about 15yrs old, so I might be back with a installing adventure.
My structure/improvements went up 39k....not one single improvement I made is worth that value in the past year. So I'll be protesting this one. I am assuming this is based on the sale of homes in my neighborhood.
I'd say start bringing in big guads. Since the small guards we've been recruiting cant shoot for shit. I think Texas regardless who the coach is, needs to start signing those types of players instead of the brick layers.
Or bring in some shooters that can burn the nets.....cuz lately the Big12 knows we cant shoot our way back into a game.
