Trump’s America
Maybe it's too early in the day for me, so I could be misunderstanding you. That would also be when Trump was in control.

I laughed at first, but ya know, it's kind of a good question. Was the money seized from "Silk Road" as an organization? Or was it really Ross's money? I don't know if Silk Road was ever actually incorporated, so it could essentially just be a d/b/a. In that case, I could see the argument that a full pardon means he would be entitled to all of his seized belongings being returned. But I'm just speculating here. Don't think there's any previous case to compare this to.

Winter Weather 2025 - Arctic Blasts or Sweaty Ass?
You probably are being overdramatic, but a lot of us are. Think we’ll be like this for a very long time. Unfortunately, all my damage came from my roof failing rather than broken pipes, so I just get to lay awake all night listening for indoor waterfalls

How Fox News works
As someone with a significant portion of family from Louisiana, I can assure you they are quite proud of their history of corruption. Huey Long is a gotdamn treasure. I think every MAGA in Louisiana even did a double take on that.

They’re probably frantically looking around the internet for a freeze frame where Kamala’s hand is in the air so they can both sides it.

You also don't have to buy cage free eggs. But yeah, prices have really shot up quite a bit. The average in November was $3.65, then they went to $4.15 in December. Averages for January obviously aren't out yet, but the cheapest dozen available at our HEB is $4.71 (there's a sketchy looking option at $4.12, but they're out of stock anyway).

Got in yesterday morning. Staying in the city center, but we wandered pretty far out yesterday. This place is great so far. Not at all what I expected! Well, other than my Spanish not being nearly as good as I thought. Turns out you can’t just drop English words in randomly down here like at home

A lot of soffit is a plastic-like material. I'd imagine it doesn't take much for embers to melt through that stuff and create bigger and bigger openings. Really only takes one ember getting through

Charging "those that make money off us with trade..."? So, like the people that are PAYING US for the goods we are selling at the rates any given market dictates?

I'm not sure the math works out here. For most folks, those pumps would drain your pool in 1-2 hours max. So it's not like you can just set it and forget it. You'll have to hang around until the fire is literally right on you before you start spraying. At that point, you're going to have trouble breathing, it's going to be insanely hot, difficult to see, etc. Then, if anything goes wrong or you drain your pool and the fire hasn't passed yet, you've most likely lost the ability to evacuate. I think my wife and kids would rather have me around than the house. After a little more research, it looks like firefighting resources recommend having 500-1000 gallons per minute (typically by employing 2+ hydrants) to fight a residential fire. You aren't getting anything close to that out of your pool unless you've got multiple pumps. And then you're draining your pool with maybe one lap around your entire house.

Trump’s America
It really is truly terrible logic. We've gone through a period where people's legacies have been tarnished because things they said decades ago (when those things were considered perfectly acceptable by most), and now they perceive a reprieve in that. Surely it'll last forever, right? No way that comes back to bite anybody in the ass for saying those things at a time when at least a significant portion of the country, if not the majority, consider them inappropriate and offensive. Good luck with that!

I can’t imagine any residential water lines could support every homeowner opening up a high volume line for very long. How far have y’all gotten in scoping out the requirements? I’d be very interested in doing the same in my hood if it’s actually feasible.
