  1. Going to the game tomorrow with a buddy of mine. Shouldn’t have a problem walking up to the box office pregame, right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This ump has been God-awful, but it sure has benefited the good guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Went out to the lease this past weekend to prep for Total Archery Challenge this coming weekend and to do some hog hunting. We were able to put a stalk on a group at one end if the property, and Dad got it done. Great shot by him at night with iron sights. Cool as shit that he got to do it with his M1 and interesting to see what ball ammo does to a pig head. He’s excited as hell to cook this guy up. We’ve had pretty good luck in killing pigs that don’t smell like shit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Today will be interesting with a lot of the big guys going home early. The biggest names on that leaderboard are Rose, JT and Spieth. They have a some skins on the wall while the rest of the leaderboard has a lot of potential, whether it be guys who have made a steady living on the PGA tour or young guys who lack experience but are hungry, talented golfers. We’ll see who outside of Rose, Spieth and JT can make the jump and really contend. If Si Woo Kim can avoid being a psycho again today, I think he has a chance to make some noise. 5. Fuck you Reed, what a shitty chip and putt. Drop a shot or two here please.
  6. Truly enjoying Cam Smith's Tiger King look, never gets old when he pops up on screen. He's playing some decent golf to back it up too.
  7. Also rained a decent amount in 2007 when Jordy Nelson pushed our shit in and Colt threw four picks, but your point still stands. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Girlfriend received her second dose of Pfizer yesterday morning, and I was able to snag an appointment at HEB in New Braunfels for J&J in the afternoon. Posting at 2 in the morning because I feel like absolute dogshit and can’t go back to sleep. We both had severe chills and a fever around 10pm, and now my head feels like I drank a twelve pack of Shiner yesterday. Ibuprofen helped a little, but damn if the vaccine doesn’t knock you on your ass.
  9. Great interview guys. Shark seems like a classy individual with a good head on his shoulders. Hoping he can make a career out of football, but if he doesn't, he definitely has another path forward. He's a model for any recruit looking to get an education and have a chance at success at the next level football-wise. Looking forward to the next former player y'all can get on.
  10. Lucky enough to still have power in 78704 (fingers crossed), but at about 8am we smelled a burning smell coming from what we think was the heater unit in the attic. Can’t get an AC guy to come take a look at it until idk when, and don’t want to risk turning it back on in case we start a fire. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Beautiful looking pup there, Ted. Looks happy as a clam to be out and about. Was able to take advantage of the cold weather this weekend in Mason. Had a long sit on Saturday that resulted in me rattling a nice 9 into bow range, but I couldn’t get a shot off due to branches being in the way. Sunday morning, this guy popped out at the second feed time just after 8:30. Ran 60 yards after bleeding like a motherfucker, he piled up in a pretty picturesque spot representative of Texas hunting (and right by the road, so putting him in the pickup was easy). We pegged him at 3.5 years old. He had definitely been rutting hard, patches of missing hair from rubs all over the front half of his body. Little fat on him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Good information to have. Another guy on our lease and I both live in the Austin area, so Miiller's was an easy enough drop off point on the way back from Mason, even if it is a little pricey. The other hunter was pretty bummed when he found out they weren't processing deer anymore.
  13. Been AWOL from the thread recently, got a funky looking buck the second weekend of bow season to get some meat in the freezer. Dad got a doe this past weekend using an old Savage .30-30 bolt action that hasn’t seen action since 1974. He grew up hunting with that gun, so it was a little bit of a homecoming for him. Callback to the days of having to find a fork in a tree to sit in while wearing blue jeans and a red plaid hunting shirt. And finally, this is the guy we’re all after. He looks like an old buck, and one of our hunters has drawn on him but was unable to get a shot off on him. He has tiny little browtines, but the G2s and G3s look magnificient. 15. 1996 vs. New Mexico State at 4 years old with my grandpa and mom. Good one to take a kid to. Went to a few others in the years following according to pictures I've seen , but unfortunately the next one I remember was 1999 vs. NC State. I remember my mom told me to stop crying and sing The Eyes after we had lost. Good times.
  16. Went out to the lease early Saturday morning to check cameras and ran into this guy as I was walking down to my feeder. Left my bow at camp (like a dumbass), so I hoofed it back to grab it and then put a stalk on him. As much as I enjoy hunting whitetails, it’s a shame we don’t get to stalk as much down here for fear of bumping deer around. Need to take advantage of doing that more with hogs. Freezer is low on meats, getting bratwurst made for some summer grilling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Yeah, that one feels a little pie in the sky-esque. I understand why it was put on there, but I can't imagine a fight over the song if more important issues are resolved.
  18. 0.5% to BLM isn't shit when it comes to the athletics budget, and if UT athletics wants to spend their money that way they can, but what's the legality of it? Asking the lawyer folk seeing as I'm not well versed in the subject, isn't UT athletics still under the state, and can the state donate money to a political cause?
  19. They can go fuck themselves for the state of their football field in 2011 for one. The overinflated sense of self in both athletics and academics is the other reason, but I guess we've been the same way for the past ten years, at least in terms of athletics. It is funny that their best season in 40 years (2007) resulted in Kansas winning a BCS game.
  20. Great rack for a euro mount. Any funky looking ones like that look better on a skull than a set of shoulders, imo.
  21. Perfect place to spend self isolation: at the lease hog hunting in this kind of weather. Going with dad tomorrow night. We tried about a month ago with no luck, but we've been running the feeder late from that point until now, and we have a game camera set up to see what's been coming to it. They should be out and about in broad daylight with the wet and the cold, or so we hope.
  22. This is, uh, bad shit. The minute that there's a confirmed case of a human contracting CWD, the game is over. Until that point (if it ever happens), I wonder if baiting becomes illegal in the near future since that's one of the easiest ways for a local herd to spread it. The public backlash from that would be severe, though.
  23. Busted this guy with my bow on Saturday evening. Hit him in the liver/lungs, he ran 50 yards and crumpled underneath some mesquite. Deer are moving pretty well up in Llano/Mason right now. Small bucks are all chasing and the big guys are just cruising. Had a really nice 9 come through with this guy on Saturday morning, neither gave me a shot. He came through by himself in the evening, had to grunt to get him to stop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Good looking deer, love the curly antlers. Story behind the buck? I've only gone out for a couple hunts, been busy with other life things. Hoping to go out on Sunday morning and do a long sit. Going to take a doe if the opportunity presents itself.
  25. The Eyes is still too damn fast, but since it’s been happening for two years, it seems like everyone has caught on. Still annoying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
