Yep, a good old sledge hammer will fix all of that permanently..
Did I ever tell you about being blackout drunk and having to pay Ramada Inns $3k for some mysterious damages?
I've had broken/fractured ribs several times in my life, thankfully long after my playing days were long gone. I cannot imagine playing much less taking a big hit with stoved up ribs, nor imagine how strong the pain killers would have to be to accomplish that. The first time I tore up my ribs I was 38 years old and was already taking 10mg vicodin due to my accident(leg). They did not even touch the pain as far as my ribs went. It seems to me that anything strong enough to offset the pain of broken ribs would render you so impaired you wouldn't be able to play.
Pretty sure he's been banged up for awhile but has been playing through it. After Bilbos' childish screaming fit in front of the whole world yesterday, Max probably said "fuck it, I'm hurt and I'm out of here".
Any kneepad that provides significant injury protection would also limit mobility. I always hated wearing kneepads and shoved them to the sides of my knees.
I know that uniform pants at one time HAD to cover the knees. As lightweight, flexible and stretchable as uniform materials are today, mobility should not be an issue.
As a person who has always had bony assed knees I had my kneecaps cracked twice, and that is some miserable shit. No way I'd play wearing the glorified "shorts" so many players wear today.
All kidding aside, my cardiologist is a Texas graduate, and he did in all seriousness tell me 2 years ago to stop watching hing Longhorn games.
I tried, but fuck that.
Got a call from my cardiologist earlier. He wanted to know if I was having a threesome with a couple of hot chick's. I laughed and told him "no" but asked why he asked. He told me he was trying to figure out why they were getting a signal that my defibrillator had gone off 26 times in 18 minutes and wanted to make sure that I was OK...
I told him I had been watching the game. Him being a Texas graduate, he said he understood and reminded me that he had advised against me watching my beloved Horns 2 years ago...bastard.
