  1. Is that south of the Equator?
  2. Over 6 years ago, I published a number of articles on how private equity investment in mental health, particularly eating disorders is not sustainable. Human beings, particularly, people suffering from mental health issues cannot be treated as mere corporate commodities. Now ... it is coming home to roost. Discovery Behavioral Health defaulted on its $280 million debt obligation and Capital One declared them in default, removed all of the persons of their Board and is now operating Discovery. this means, that the highest performing assets will be sold with proceeds going to investors and the remaining non-performing assets(?) will be left to be picked apart in bankruptcy. And the families are the ones who suffer the most. Our loved ones. Our children. Discovery is the first ... but certainly won't be the last. A DAD'S JOURNEY WITH EATING DISORDERSWhen Care Becomes Collateral: Capital One, Discovery, and...Capital One’s hostile takeover of Discovery Behavioral Health should be understood for what it is: a financial repossession of eating disorder care. Please.... that is Aloysius. As in Aloysius X.L. Pendergast.
  4. As Sinatra sang, "And now the days are short, I'm in the autumn of the years ... and now I think of my life as vintage wine from fine old kegs..." The reality is that I will never see the Cowboys in the Super Bowl while I am on this side of the dirt. Not as long as Jughead Jones and his idiot son, continue their reign of incompetence. Hell, in the last 30 years, you would think they would have accidentally stumble into the conference championship game. The Deathstar he had constructed perfectly epitomizes the death of this once proud franchise. It is cold, impersonal, plastic, unconnected and horribly flawed. As is Jughead. I have been to exactly one Cowboys game at the Deathstar... the first one. But, over the course of the last 30 years, the times I got to spend with my kids and friends on Sundays has filled this old man's heart with memories much more precious than any which could have been produced by mid-20 year old mercenaries. I epitomize the type of fan that should bring a lot of concern to Jughead. I am completely ambivalent about them. I have no fucks to give if they win. I have no fucks to give if they lose. They are ... irrelevant.
  5. That's John Amos in Die Hard 2 !

  7. With all due respect of course you Whippersnapper you! Oh.. and in that Super Bowl... the Longhorn Band played both pregame AND halftime!
  8. YOU DON'T TALK SHIT ABOUT EX-MRS. LID NUMBER TWO, A/K/A THE SEQUEL! You horn dogs leave her alone! (ok. where is my dementia pill now?)
  9. So, the Ole Miss QB is taking the NCAA to court over their denial of another year of eligibility. In a little podunk court in the State of Mississippi. And the NCAA has not yet ruled on Ole Miss' appeal of the NCAA's previous denial. So, to prove damages, will he have to show that his NIL proceeds would exceed his possible NFL pro contract? The lawsuit can be found on this website: SuperTalk Mississippi MediaAttorneys representing Ole Miss QB Chambliss sue NCAA for...A lawsuit has been filed by the legal team representing Trinidad Chambliss to grant the Ole Miss quarterback a sixth year of collegiate eligibility after he
  10. This is impressive. I do not believe I have ever read the terms, "cunt stain" and "dick pimple" being used in consecutive sentences. Most impressive indeed.
  11. Obviously the best part of you dripped down the inside of your mother's thighs.
  12. I certainly understand that this generation of players are mercenaries, prostituting their skills to the highest bidder. But, it is cut rate mercenaries that I cannot abide. Fredo Livingstone chose to be counted with and among sworn enemies of the Family. That is NOT a choice. THAT is a betrayal.
  13. at the 1:06 mark, did he really say, "What you want?"
  14. Sometimes ... community reveals itself through acts of compassion. And a soul is reenergized. 16. For some reason, this Christmas has been particularly dark. Not feeling any joy. Hug your children no matter their ages you bastards.

  18. So, just out of curiosity, I had our Ai Overlords check the total buy outs for 12 schools whose head coaches were fired or otherwise no longer with their team: UCLA, Oregon State, Meatchicken, Meatchicken State, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Florida, Albarn, Kentucky, Oglaucoma State, Arkansas, LSU ... the number came to approximately 1/4 of ONE BILLION DOLLARS. That's right ... about $250 MILLION! Ah yes... higher education. Let's pay that amount for incompetence or corruption.
  19. You mean like this?
  20. You know, we have all made good natured, and not so good natured fun of the dumpster fire, trainwreck, clown show up at Ann Arbor. And not to put a Debbie Downer, "Oh it's that asshole Lid talking about mental health again" input into this ... but ... The court on Friday has a hell of a decision to make. Moore has already aptly demonstrated he is a threat to himself and others. He lost his job paying about $6 million a year. He was fired for cause so the only way he gets his buy out of $13.9 million is if he prevails in court. He in all likelihood will lose his marriage. In all likelihood, his visitation with his children will be supervised for quite some time, if granted at all. He in unemployable for the immediate and perhaps long term future. He lost his side piece. Unless mental health testing was conducted today, how can any reputable judge release him at this time? Don't be surprised if the court holds him for observation especially if the hospital he was taken to initially filed a petition for involuntary commitment. Every aspect of this dude's life just came unwound. And don't forget the Cowboys just had a player with mental health issues take his own life.
