Wash St. Covid thread of despair and anti-vax bannination
yeah... that Holocaust comparison thing didn't work out too well for 117 employees (former employees?) of Houston Methodist Hospital. Judge Hughes down in Houston made short work of that argument ... "Equating the injection requirement to medical experimentation in concentration camps is reprehensible." Each state law is different with regard to employment but methinks the former Coog Coach should have read Judge Hughes' opinion: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/20860669-houston-methodist-lawsuit-order-of-dismissal

This year will be my 39th Texas - ou game. But, first since 2016. That year, I got to sit next to one of the Big Bosses on here. That game was on October 8. 22 days later, my daughter died. This year, it is time to go back to a game she and I shared a number of times. With hope, strength, love and inspiration. Oh... and if anyone has any ideas how I can get down on the field and spread just a few of her ashes ... let me know. https://adadsjourneywitheatingdisorders.home.blog/2021/10/06/ashes-texas-football-memories/

Well shit... thanks though.

Cowboy Boots
Gents, about 20 years ago, I had these made by Loveless Boot Company based in OKC. (at the Dallas Safari Club Expo). Well, in 20 years, a man's foot gets flatter, and expands some. As such, they no longer fit. I think Loveless is no longer in business. Any recommendations to take these and try to have them refit? (I am in North Texas).

Depression, OCD, and whatever else ails you between the ears
So, I have a dear friend who I helped start, "Camp Wonderment." I can't or won't adequately describe it in words ... but look at what he just did in San Diego for children with limb differences. We are already talking with a number of corporations, organizations and law firm foundations to do the next one in Dallas in the next 6 months.

Getting old sucks
Severe pain centered on the lower left side of your abdomen? Sometime so intense you were doubled over in pain? Yup... Those are the signs.

Mental Health Resource Fair - 9/11 Remembrance
This is an "Almost Final" list of Exhibitors who will be appearing. Everything from eating disorders to Veteran's Mental Health Needs, Patriot Paws, Suicide Prevention, counselors, therapists, organizations with resources. We started putting this together in May ... Not May of last year, but this year. We were told it would not be possible. The generous hearts of volunteers overwhelm me!

Fit Shaming, Fat Shaming and Body Positivity in general
ah yes... stigma, discrimination, militant fat activists ... There is a big difference between weight stigma and weight discrimination ... http://adadsjourneywitheatingdisorders.home.blog/2021/05/03/no-weight-stigma-and-discrimination-are-different/ And how the Militant Fat Activists are doing an incredible amount of harm perpetuating their self-important and faulty viewpoints ... http://adadsjourneywitheatingdisorders.home.blog/2021/04/26/militant-fat-activists-in-nomine-patris-et-filii-et-spiritus-sancti/

This is the bio of the veteran who will be speaking on Friday night at the VIP event. Can't wait to hear his recollection about what Andrews AFB was like on 9/11.

Mental Health Resource Fair - 9/11 Remembrance
No, it doesn't upset me. To the contrary. It fills my heart with joy. If others can recover, or have Morgan give them more strength or courage or inspiration, then what a legacy my daughter is leaving. 3 weeks ago was her birthday. I published an article on her that day. Within 15 minutes after I did, I received this message: "Hi Steven, I was a friend of Morgan’s. We were both at Remuda Ranch together. She touched me in more ways than I could possibly say. One memory I have is her borrowing all my headbands-she LOVED them for some reason even though they had to be some dollar tree 6 for 1 special. Morgan acted like me letting her borrow them was on par with gifting her a Chanel bag! I remember every morning she’d just stand at my door and without words, I knew she was there for her damn headband! It always made us giggle. She found the joy in the small things and even greater joy in connection with others. I miss her terribly. She’s in my dreams constantly and she inspired me to get a grasp on recovery. I’ve been in recovery for two years now and sober for 42 days. I realize I’m one the lucky ones and lately I’ve been drawn to the idea of giving back to those pursuing recovery or struggling with this disorder themselves. I am inspired by how you’ve turned tragedy into a crusade to raise awareness. I read your blog a lot, and am touched by every word. Just yesterday I found one of the headbands. Imagine my surprise to see it is sweet Morgan’s birthday. Happy birthday to an eternal soul. I’ll certainly never forget her." If there is anything I can do for you, your family or anyone else struggling with this very misunderstood illness, I am there. I have connections nationwide with many of the treatment providers. I couldn't save my daughter. But, by God, if there are others I can help have a chance to live, who would I be if I did not do all I could? All the best to you, your niece and your family. Hook 'em.
