  1. Tix went on sale at 10 am CT this morning and I was shocked that I had mine for Tulsa in hand by 10:05 am.
  2. TBH.. I wouldn't dismiss the call out of hand. Would have to hear some numbers.
  3. Made it to page 2 for this one? Plus it wins for outro as well: My personal favorite song intro:
  4. Tulsa. Got'em.
  5. In the presale queue for Sir Paul right now...
  6. Switch over to the statcast feed.
  7. California knows how to party. Love me some Oakland stories. Mine isn't so bad. Just the guy sitting in front of me on the BART on the way to the '16 Cal game pissed on the floor. Should have taken that as an omen and headed back home.
  8. This had the potential to be a big win - more than doubling the service area (to a service area larger than Waymo's) after just three weeks of operation. But he can't fucking help himself from always acting like a jackass.
  9. Compared to his normal MO, Gunn was VERY restrained with his use of non-score music in this film. There are only three non-original, non-score music tracks in the film. Noah and the Whale's "5 Year's Time", Sophie Madeleine's "Bring Me Sunshine", and Teddybears feat. Iggy Pop's "Punkrocker." But they all hit huge thematically with the references to sunshine and Clark's self-ID as a Punkrocker. The one original song was "The Mighty Crabjoys" which also connected to Clark's wannabe punk rock self-image.
  10. My go-to gif for extreme frustration.
  11. Crummy way to limp into the break, but this team is just going to get better with a bit of rest. Hard to stay down on these guys while they are 16 games over with a five game lead at the break.
  12. We need the gif of Adolis celebrating like he walked it off.
  13. Ok don’t bunt.
  14. Just horrible situational hitting.
  15. Let ya nuts hang, Sousa!
  16. Ice water from Framber there. Now go get iced.
  17. Not running on Altuve? Dumb.
  18. Way off on Pirates and Blue Jays. Going to lose both of those. Winning Boston... barely. Happy that the Pads are proving me wrong, but they could still stumble and bring me to .500.
  19. It’s way more fun winning four straight than losing four straight.
  20. Absolutely loved it. My favorite part was Superman’s mom being a Westworld sexbot.
  21. Faith cannot exist in a space occupied by certainty. “Certainty” is fatal to faith and dangerously corrosive to grace. If one is certain of their own reading of scripture and certain of their full compliance with scripture, where is the need for Christ’s righteousness and God’s grace? And if one does not feel themselves absolutely dependent on God’s grace, they are very unlikely to extend any grace towards others. IMO, there is no aspect of life where the Dunning-Kruger effect is more dangerous than religion. A little study and minimal understanding of small snippets of scripture can result in a strong sense of certainty. Vast swaths of the evangelical Church are stuck at this novice level with no desire to advance past it because it becomes uncomfortable and threatens existing power structures and organizations. They can’t let go of that anchor of certainty and allow themselves to have faith in the Spirit to lead them to new places and new ways of loving others.
