  1. Guess you need to be careful. This was about a mile away from my house on Super Bowl Sunday. House is a total loss. Word was that the oven got built and used the house's chimney, which seems odd.

Nice that is a nice tray of meat
  3. Made some wild duck on the Blackstone to be used in tacos. Used allegro marinade and they came out great. Kids scarfed them all up.
  4. Made up some duck on the griddle for tacos.
  5. I'm a pretty simple man. Always order #2 with double cheese. Now, I do go a little crazy and dip my fries into spicy kethcup. Now, what gets me is what they charge for a slice of cheese. Some charge $.50 a slice and some charge $.75. Come on Whataburger, if you are going to screw me, screw me the same at all locations. (not that this is going to stop me from going anyways).

Do you not like Smoke Session out in Royse City?
  7. That's weird. I usually put in $1000 worth and only get out $100.
  8. Nope, but got to beat out the damn beavers and nutria rats.

  11. Garden is going to expand from one raised and one in-ground to one large raised bed. I use the Ruth Stout style and I've got a bunch of used goat hay composting getting ready to be used this spring. Will be doing the usual of peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers for slicing and pickling, strawberries, beans and okra.
  12. That's a wrap Another season in the books. Overall a pretty good season. Letting the wetlands rest between hunts was key since there weren't many cold fronts pushing in new birds. Took kids out today, like we do each year. My oldest wasn't feeling good so he slept in. The others had a good time. Scratched out 4 this morning before having to leave to get ready for an event this afternoon.
  13. Good hunt this morning. Lots of ducks around. 4 man limit in short order. Taking the kids out tomorrow to end the season.
  14. I'm sure those Chili dogs would make for an interesting "after dinner date" night.
  15. I did come across this place that seems interesting and has good reviews. Caribbean inspired - https://www.sisserousrestaurant.com/
  16. Will be at a conference with my wife next month on Valentine's Day weekend. Never been to Tulsa, so looking for suggestions on a place to make reservations for a date night. Doesn't need to be a fancy-smancy place, just somewhere that has good food and atmosphere.
  17. Saw one on TBH for old Mexico at a steal of $12,500.
  18. Well shit, terrible news. Restaurant biz is tough and you need some very good capital to keep things going for the first 3-5 years. After that is typically when the business becomes profitable. Let us know where you land throwing around your meat.
  19. Man that sucks. Probably running at night and fell down into it.
  20. Yep, that's me.
  21. Got my euro mount back today. College kid does this on the side and I think it came out nice.
  22. Another good morning in the wetlands.
  23. Gloria's or Uncle Julio's are right there to get that Mexican food fix.
