  1. All this tells me is that we're 8 years away from A&M's last title being closer to the existence of the Republic of Texas than to present day.
  2. I saw Interpol there. It sucked. Because it was Interpol. But the venue sucked too.
  3. My sister and her husband are big Widespread Panic fans. They were in Austin for a three show stent at the Moody center. They had an extra ticket and I went tonight, knowing almost nothing about the band other than the fact that they are a jam band. My sister and her husband are big Widespread Panic fans. They were in Austin for a three show stent at the Moody center. They had an extra ticket and I went tonight, knowing almost nothing about the band other than the fact that they are a jam band. I was very pleasantly surprised. There was more song structure than I was anticipating and the new guitar player they have fucking shreds. All in all a great show. I did leave after 2 1/2 hours though. It all started to sound the same, and I needed fresh air at that point. Regardless, good experience. Would go again.
  4. Fellas, I'm sad to report that I lifted the same pathetic amount of weights the same number of times. But he did say it's a healing/recovery drug, and not a party drug. So I think I'm gonna "recover" and report back in a few hours after I watch a movie and take some advil.
  5. I just smoked some weed and am going to the gym. I'll report back in a few hours.
  6. I only cite the elderly musicians because they were mentioned previously in this thread. I guess I'm coming at this from the perspective of "missing out on the evolution of a young artists' career." Bowie released 26 studio albums. We were blessed to have David Bowie make meaningful, aspirational music for nearly half a century. Kurt Cobain put out three. Amy Winehouse put out two. Hank Williams RECORDED less than 150 songs in his lifetime. Chris Bell made the one Big Star record, and his solo record and that's it. At least we got 7 albums out of Gram Parsons before he died.
  7. Missed this thread when it first went around. There's definitely two conversations happening on this thread. Most people are just listing their favorite musicians who died. I was sad when Jerry Garcia died, but what else was Jerry gonna do? We didn't miss any amazing music from Jerry Garcia's death. Same with people like Elvis, Warren Zevon, David Bowie, etc. I don't think Ronnie Van Zandt was going to change his style and start writing introspective ballads. He might have been young, but his career was fairly well defined. I think the obvious answer is Hendrix because when he died, he was in the process of revolutionizing how an electric guitar could be played. Would have been interesting to see what kind of music Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, and Sam Cooke might have made in their later years. But again, I wouldn't expect substantial deviation from the style/genre they were already putting out. The ones I'd be most interested to see are Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Gram Parsons, Hank Williams, Buddy Holly, Tupac, Mark Bolin, and Chris Bell. All of those artists were experimental in some way, and incorporated multiple genres into their songwriting, so it would have been interesting to see how they evolved
  8. You don't even have to wait. He's looking pretty frail. I think you could take him right now.

I found the "enjoyable" gummies probably hit me the hardest, but I think similar to the delta 9/thca gummies, there really isn't a huge difference between the manufacturers. I have also tried the enjoyable chocolate bars, the Yeehaw brand chocolate bars and one other kind I forget but they all did pretty much the same thing. If you enjoy regular mushrooms, I'd recommend them.

So I was skeptical of the mushroom gummies you can get at the "dispensaries" here in Austin. But turns out, they work pretty fucking good. It didn't feel the exact same as real mushrooms, and I didn't get the color pop that I normally do with cow shit mushrooms, but it was a nice giddy body buzz. And at like $30-$40 a bar of chocolate for like 8-10 squares, that will get 4 people feeling really good, or 2 people feeling REALLY good.
  11. Huh? Dallas is the best city to recruit basketball? Does New York City not exist anymore? What about Chicago? Or Philly? DC?
  12. Good thing that's not a decision anyone has to make. You can do well recruiting one position, and disappoint recruiting another position. They're not inter-dependent.
