  1. But he's not, so the people you point this out to can't use that as an argument. Just keep it generic "Rush predicted that a Big Government President would use federal agents to go around asking for everybody's papers. My dad/friends listened to him, plus that's what the older NCOs I was around had the radio tuned into in our offices. Hell, I listened to him voluntarily early on - I was not a Clinton fan.
  2. The number that matters is the independents. Most of the Republicans are a waste of time trying to persuade, although that 14% - 15% in their polls could stay home or even vote D, and "Not Sure" voters in the 20-something % range are worth talking to and hopefully they are taking notes. It's the people who swing back and forth (it's why some voted D in 2012 and then R in 2016 and then D in 2020, etc.). Trump and Puppy Killer are desperate to show that there are a bunch of criminals justifying their actions, but so far the biggest thing they've done is get a 30-something white mom murdered.
  3. It sounds like people aren't investing, but rather just giving Eric Adams money.
  4. As I said, Rush Limbaugh literally predicted all of this, exactly as you say - with a Democratic administration going after Republican areas. I've told one older relative that they can bet that if this stuff doesn't stop, a Democrat will win the White House and do this exact thing in red areas. Obviously, it won't, but this is the shit they were told to be afraid of for 20 years.
  5. We also need (edited) tell our family and friends who support ICE in Minnesota and that have ever benefitted from the labor of illegal immigrants that we have to turn them in to ICE, because I feel like giving money, cash no less, to people who are here illegally is breaking some kind of law, in addition to not reporting them as being here illegally. And also reporting companies that are using illegal immigrants to build houses, streets, buildings, etc. Edit: Sorry, I don't mean turn in the people who are working on the down-low, I meant tell our family/friends that we have to turn them in for employing them, and I was half-joking. It's just meant to get a reaction out of them and make them think about the fact that they've crossed paths with these people and have trusted them to be around or even in their homes..
  6. Musk getting into our military's networks, lovely.
  7. Sexual deepfakes becoming illegal in the UK this week. I'm sure Musk will not be able to help himself.
  8. He will get it. This administration loves to cover for pedophiles.
  9. Meanwhile, I go to fucking AMC in Barton Fucking Creek Mall, and theater #1, their 3D IMAX theater, looks worse than any discount cinema I've been to in 25 years. Seats falling apart, seat cushions literally split open, shit falling apart in that theater, seat dividers falling apart, etc. And the employees I bitched to were clearly ashamed about it but did nothing. I won't be going back there. Meanwhile, Alamo, the best chain around, is just pissing away their reputation while other chains are pushing their customers there.
  10. I've been challenging several relatives low-key like on this stuff and pointing out a couple of things - #1 a bunch of "conservative" talking heads were raising red flags about the "Department of Homeland Security" being created to bring together a bunch of federal agencies/agents in the wake of 9/11, that a bunch of these conservatives were raising red flags about Clinton/Reno and Ruby Ridge and Waco prior to 9/11 and DHS. Here we are, we have federal agents who are not even full-blown law enforcement challenging Americans for their papers. I toss in that when Trump's out of office, are they cool with a liberal doing this same stuff in red states and rural areas? (most don't know enough about the difference in how they can operate in border versus non-border states). The bigger thing I'm pointing out, and this has pissed off some, is that Rush Limbaugh was beating the drum about all of this back in the 90s, was raising the alarm that a Big Government President was going to use federal agents in a "papers please" capacity and here we are. It's just that Limbaugh got the party wrong. Limbaugh actually nailed a lot down on what Trump/Noem are doing, just the wrong party.
  11. Those officials maybe border patrol agents/DHS officials that were already announced as going up there and Noem is pretending like it's an additional surge. Minneapolis has 425,000 people, in a metroplex of around 3.8 million. Minnesota isn't close to being the state with the largest immigrant population, but Trump is fixated on them/their governor (and he was embarrassed in California and Chicago/Illinois, and probably doesn't want to tangle with Houston, and praised NYC and its new mayor), and he and ICE portrayed Minneapolis as a crime-ridden hellhole (it's not, I have friends there and in St. Paul). Right now, in Minnesota (and said friends say ICE is operating all over Minnesota and not just the main cities), people have set up all kinds of social media tools to track ICE from when they leave their hotels until they return, and when ICE does a raid or goes after somebody, there are people responding quickly and showing up and at the least filming, and at the most, challenging them on Constitutional grounds (and in several cases, the agents back down when it's clear the people they are talking to know their shit). They are tracking license plates of the vehicles ICE is using (and apparently ICE is swapping plates). This is not going over well with the leadership, and ICE has to show that they can get it under control, and that they scare the shit out of civilians, which means we will probably see a lot more innocents beaten, car windows smashed, etc., and probably a few more deaths. If they can't get Minneapolis/Minnesota under their control, they won't be able to do the same in New York, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, etc. if they roll thousands of agents into those cities in the future. And seriously, people in Minneapolis/Minnesota are getting their shit together on tracking the ICE/DHS agents and communicating whereabouts and following and filming them and challenging them. It's not being publicized, either because the non-local media isn't paying attention, or because it's not sexy enough for 60-second soundbites, but people up there are fucking badasses. And people are showing up from elsewhere in the US to help track ICE and to help out people being threatened by ICE.
  12. Means they can't currently spin the videos.
  13. I’m sure all of those little (and big) West Texas outfits are happy at tens of billions of their tax dollars going to prop up Venezuela’s oil industry.
  14. Congressman Chip Roy says George Soros, Bill Gates and the United Nations are funding the takeover of our America through NGOs He says if we don’t make sure only US Citizens are voting and only US Citizens are counted in the Census, it’s over Pass the Save Act “At the root of all of this stuff — What we're seeing in Minneapolis, the organized effort by the radical left, the Marxists, through all of the NGOs, through Arabella, through United Nations funding, through George Soros funding, through Bill Gates funding, our taxpayer dollars, they're taking all of this to engage in massive, not just fraud, but an effort to pack America with non-citizens so they can take our country over. That's what's happening. You know it, I know it and we've got to be militant about this We've got to make sure that only American citizens are voting. Only American citizens are making the decisions about who their electorate is and they're only counted in the census.” Putting aside the fact that all of these fucking idiots can never turn up the massive voter fraud they claim, around 10% of Texans are not citizens, so we’d be due to lose a House seat or two. Also these fucksticks never talk about prosecuting the companies and people who hire illegal immigrants. Why is Tyson still in business? Why are so many construction companies in Texas still in business? Why doesn’t Edna down the street get popped for paying a non-American for mowing her lawn or doing her roof?

  16. I don't give a fuck what some software algorithms say, I only care about what he actually says. When he publicly says the only way to survive is "white solidarity" I'm going to guess that he believes that, and that he's probably said worse in private.
  17. Senate is getting publicly pissed off at Trump and are willing to block his future nominations over the matter. Powell investigation: Republican opposition grows on Capitol Hill Republican protests are growing louder on Capitol Hill as the Trump administration’s Department of Justice pursues a criminal investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. Powell on Sunday night revealed that the Justice Department opened an investigation into his handling of renovations to the central bank’s headquarters and his testimony about the matter to Congress. Powell said the investigation was an attempt to intimidate him as he lowers interest rates at a slower pace than President Donald Trump desires. The GOP resistance could derail his eventual pick to succeed Powell when the Fed chief’s term is up in May, as North Carolina Republican Sen. Thom Tillis, a member of the Senate Banking Committee, threatens to block any nominee to the central bank until the investigation is resolved. Tillis’ comments are now being echoed by other Republicans. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, wrote in a post on X, that the “administration’s investigation is nothing more than an attempt at coercion,” and called for a congressional investigation into the matter. “If the Department of Justice believes an investigation into Chair Powell is warranted based on project cost overruns—which are not unusual—then Congress needs to investigate the Department of Justice,” Murkowski said. “The stakes are too high to look the other way: if the Federal Reserve loses its independence, the stability of our markets and the broader economy will suffer. My colleague, Senator Tillis, is right in blocking any Federal Reserve nominees until this is resolved.” Tillis’ block is a massive problem for Trump, who has long sought to oust Powell and replace him with an ally. The Banking Committee is comprised of 13 Republicans and 11 Democrats, meaning one Republican defection can cause a deadlock and block a nominee from advancing. Trump has repeatedly said he plans to replace Powell when his term as Fed chair is up in May. However, Powell could stay on as a governor until 2028. And the chorus of Republicans criticizing the administration over the investigation is only getting louder. “Pursuing criminal charges relating to his testimony on building renovations at a time when the nation’s economy requires focus and creates an unnecessary distraction,” said House Financial Services Chair French Hill, a Republican of Arkansas. “The Federal Reserve is led by strong, capable individuals appointed by President Trump, and this action could undermine this and future Administrations’ ability to make sound monetary policy decisions,” he said. Even Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., a Banking Committee member who is a frequent Powell critic, criticized the investigation. “Jerome Powell is a bad Fed Chair who has been elusive with Congress, especially regarding the overruns of the elaborate renovations of the building,” Cramer said. “I do not believe however, he is a criminal. I hope this criminal investigation can be put to rest quickly, along with the remainder of Jerome Powell’s term. We need to restore confidence in the Fed.”
