If all of this is true I don't see how KU doesn't fire Beaty. And that's with a win vs. us this weekend, which, I happen to agree is winnable for KU. It just seems like short of a Bowl birth; KU recognizes that Beaty will just start the cycle over next year. KU football will just be spinning their wheels. He's had enough time at KU to get to a six win season.
Pop Warner, Johnny Majors and Earle Bruce all had better winning % than Dan. Also, Dan benefited from a big 12 north with a weakened UNL and a six win minimum for bowl eligibility.
In Earle Bruce's short time in Ames he beat good UNL teams back to back in '76&'77 and went to two Bowls. Earl Bruce was our best coach.
Keep going to grad school, I guess. Dude's essentially a GA now and I don't think he really cares if he ever plays again. Kind of hard to get a read on Kyle. He looks like he's on quaaludes most of the time.
Not a big surprise. I wish Zeb the best. He just wasn't going to get ahead of Brock Purdy and would likely be passed by Re-Al Mitchell too. And he really didn't get much help from our OL. I presume he'll land closer to home (from Athens, GA suburbs iirc). The real ISU related QB story is Brock Purdy's little younger brother in Gilbert AZ (Perry HS). If he's better than Brock as advertised there should be some heavy-hitters interested. And he goes by Chubba. I have no idea what his given name is?...hope it's not Chubba.
If UI and ISU can stay at the trajectory they're currently on and then be ranked next season in early September Ames would be outstanding for Game Day. I'd love it for the UT game this season but that'll be in Austin...
Meh, I wouldn't worry about it. I see a UT / OU rematch (neither team loses again, imo) in the CCG which is probably the scenario that means the most for UT regarding the playoff. I think the rest of the league's records will be inconsequential.
Not sure how you you can predict a win vs KSU considering we've won the last two games on the field and been given losses by the Big 12 conference and their shitbird refs. I'll believe it when I see it...
The premise of the commercial is pretty disturbing. People at sports bar all consuming Crown & sodas instead of beers need to take breaks. No, they need to switch back to beer because at a football Saturday pace if they're slamming CR like beers they're gonna fucking die.
If Campbell refuses to adjust or open up the offensive playbook we'll make OUs DL look better than Iowa's. The game hinges on the offense staying on the field and keeping it close through three quarters. I don't see it. An inept first half offense by ISU puts the defense too far behind in the second half.
OU - 34, ISU - 10 (14-7 OU at halftime)
I admire your enthusiasm but we play at Iowa week 2 and while I feel good about it we've never blown them out in Iowa City. Blow-outs, no. But I'd love a shot at all those big ten teams.
