Off-Season Thread of Sadness: College Football’s Biggest Busts. Who Let You Down the Most?
Does Scott Derry count as a bust? Or just worst player ever? Legitimately confused on this one.

Texas Softball 2025 - Second to no one.
Not even top 5, come on man. And he brought a slightly above avg. offensive line-up from a mid-major and is expecting them to be significantly better facing a P4 schedule? Canady masks a whole lot of deficiencies on that team.

Texas Softball 2025 - Second to no one.
They had a tournament they couldn’t fill, and when they looked for an alternative, no one wanted Texas to fill a spot for 3 days. So they had to piece something together with people that would give them games.

Don’t know if that’s true, but I 100% believe the other part where he said NFL people are saying Quinn is not NFL ready and needs another year. And honestly, by the looks of it, he’ll never be ready.

The numbers can’t be an apples to apples comparison. Quinn is throwing to a bunch of thoroughbreds and Leavitt to a group of Shetland ponies. Leavitt is throwing against one of the best defenses in the country, and Quinn against one of the worst secondaries. Face it, Quinn hampers us badly and Leavitt called his shot and is backing it up.

He’s mobile and hitting open receivers. Swap QB’s and tell me we don’t score probably two more TD’s with Leavitt. And I mean exact play calling and all…just literally swap the two players.

At the half, it’s looking like Leavitt was spot on with his shot at Ewers. Also, if I’m the sideline reporter, I simply ask Sark “are you stubborn or stupid?”

I love that we are taking deep shots, but Quinn’s arm strength and/or loft angle choices are complete dogshit.

Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Correct on no more NLI’s, however, there is language in the scholarship papers that does bind the player to the school, once the paperwork is processed. It’s new verbiage added this fall since the NCAA 86’ed NLI’s.

SEC/BIG form Joint Advisory Group
People I know in college athletics say that we are about to see the NCAA go away (for D1). And D1 is going to be split into two leagues. To be in the Tier One league, 50% of all athletes at each University must receive an NIL deal of $30K, and each sport will be fully funded scholarship wise. Tier Two will use minimums with NIL and have a cap, scholarships per team will have a minimum like now, but allow for fully funded sports. Also, Tier One will be its own league, and Tier Two will go back to regionalized conferences. There are some other specifics, but the gist of it is who want to play the NIL game and who doesn’t.

UT's next basketball coach - discussion/debate [Sean Miller Hired]
Grant McCasland. And before you dismiss the thought, go read his bio. Lots of overlap with Beard. McCasland turned down 3mil+ from SMU this past offseason to stay at UNT, waiting for the right job.
