I'm totally more ncaa baseball than MLB. If it were the Rangers and the Astros were not in the postseason I'd be pulling for the Rangers. Fuck the Rangers.
I think 3 things are true and not exclusive.
1 - The Astros are just plain better.
2- They cheated at a sport built around cheating.
3- Fans are douchebags.
I enjoy his videos when he is talking about baseball, something that I believe he is a subject matter expert in. Like a lot of experts when he starts talking about something else he starts to go off the rails. I also think I might be tempted to punch him while he was sleeping if I had that chance, and certainly would not ride cross country in a car with him.
I'd be fine if he was an Astro and could perform. I'd be fine if he could play anywhere else and not perform.
I had an opportunity to sit in on an HBO and ESPN presentation at a local cable company a few years ago (rhymes with bombast) and the the thing that was really interesting is that they viewed the cable operator as the customer/victim and not consumers of the content. I asked the HBO rep about this and they said they were all about getting the one big check instead of 30 million little ones.
A few years later when Tony Kornheiser left ESPN radio for the Nth time to finally start his own podcast I thought of this, trading one big check for a bunch of little ones.
I tell myself every year that I don't care and I won't look until first day of class... I think he should take the money and run... I would love for him to come back...
