That isn't how it works and you know it. You are assuming the 2nd half playcalling would be exactly the same if Ohio State didn't score at the end of the 2nd quarter. Who knows how each coach would have handled it if it was tied 7-7 at half.
The plays after the 2 minute timeout were loser play calls. We decided to settle for a mid-range field goal instead of trying to score a TD to take the Kicker out of it.
This is where I am at (though I do think there should be some Arch packages in the red zone).
Quinn missed a quite a few throws before overtime and took a couple sacks where I thought he could have read the blitz, but Sark seems to have zero situational awareness with his playcalling.
Like another poster said... I think Sark and Quinn need a divorce. Things just seem disjointed with them partnered together.
I've been pretty critical of Ewers this year, but he played solid today. Had a miss on a 4th down play behind the WR and a weird decision to slide instead of throwing the ball in the stands on a play outside the pocket. Sark's playcalling seemed like a bigger problem today.
I'm withholding judgment until I see how the rest of the off-season plays out. If we don't fill any of the holes in the outfield/1st base I'm gonna be pissed.
We now have a little extra money to make a run at a free agent and a surplus of starting pitchers (can try to trade Framber for an MLB caliber player). Front office needs to make something happen.
I don't mind Paredes and Smith. Wesneski is meh to me, so I feel like we needed another piece.
I would tried to throw in Pressly and have them include Bellinger (even though he is a bitch)
Dear lord... I knew it was ugly, but didn't realize we sucked that bad in the 2nd half. Not gonna blame that all on Quinn as I feel like Sark's play calling can get a bit wonky in the 2nd half... but that is really depressing with the talent we have on this team.
