According to this players don't have a specific number of options, they have option YEARS in which they can be sent down multiple times.
A couple of thoughts:
1) They want to give Tucker a trial right now to see whether they need to trade for a LF with a little more pop than Kemp.
2) They moved Jake down instead of Kemp because they are showcasing Kemp for a possible trade.
I look forward to the day when we are not relying on QB's to be the starter their first or even second year in the program.
It would be OK if they emerge as the best choice over experienced alternatives, but not if they are the only choice.
A healthy program would not have started either Ehlinger or Buechele last year.
Springer normally uses an axe-handled bat. So does Correa. Reddick says he got out of his slump using Springer's bat, but went back to his own and started hitting extra base hits.
Looks like Altuve is starting to use one too, or at least has it in his arsenal.
The problem is that the chest shots didn't kill the Injun. Seal boy walks over and stands over him before administering the coup de grace.
Of course, I'm no forensics expert so I don't know if everything could be proven, and who knows how a jury would rule.
As I used to tell my dad constantly when watching a movie or TV show, "It's make believe, go with it."
Colby Rasmus retired today, for the second time in two years.
He retired last year after Tampa Bay put him on the DL in July. He was with Baltimore this year, but again had problems with the same hip.
I have fond memories of him helping the Astros get to the playoffs in 2015, and then getting hot and hitting 4 HR's in 6 postseason games against the Yankees and Royals.
Hopefully his body won't be too broken down to enjoy his retirement with his wife and two daughters.
I agree. Kemp has been a pleasant surprise and may have earned a spot for the rest of the year. He only gets demoted if injured or goes on a long slump.
I know they are trying to work on his outfield defensive skills, but while Reed is in the bigs maybe Tucker could get some work at first to improve his versatility. Being a left handed option at first and DH may be a better route to the bigs this year than the outfield, barring injury.
If they follow precedent then Finebaum will be out on his ass.
However, if they adhere to the Stephen A. Smith Corollary they will give him a huge raise.
The Hot Spot - Taylor and Hamilton Pool.
Don Johnson, Jennifer Connelly, Virginia Madsen directed by Dennis Hopper. Charles Martin Smith and Barry Corbin in supporting roles.
Not a great movie, but a young Jennifer Connelly going topless at Hamilton Pool makes this a state treasure.
