And what do you like about the Pi, or what do you use it for that a fire tv can't do? I know it can do a ton of other stuff, but just hooked up to a tv.... Thanks

What do you like about it over Kodi?

Cord Cutters Thread
Thanks I will read up on it. I started with Kodi.XBMC, when I hacked the original Xbox. Then I used a small PC to run XBMC/Kodi, It was always a chore just to get the remote to work correctly. The Pi came out and it was still a chore to get the remote to work correctly. So that was my main obstical. It has been 5+ years since then. I was constantly reading all the forums and programming my remote, it wasn't worth my time at one point. I am interested and will read up a bit on OSMC. Thanks

I used to use a PI before mine died, then the Fire TV came out. It worked great at the time. Like I stated above, I run a server with 9 hard drives and 10s of thousands of media files. I used to use Kodi to manage them. A fire tv ended up as an easy solution for me and to use all the other apps that Amazon provides. I got lazy, and I will eventually create a central Database for all of my media for Kodi. Now, I use Plex to allow my away family to connect to my server, as it was easy to install on my Unraid linux server and was $120 lifetime. I still like the versatility and way of customizing and searching of Kodi, so I will eventually learn how to again put a database on my my Unraid Server(linux, omdb, whatever)(the size of the db files are to large to be stored on the firetv's)., when I put away the time. I was just reading up on a Shield TV. I may go that way, but I also appreciate not wanting to spend much money and creating the best media playing/hosting system for the money, as I used to be there. I just learned of Terranium TV and another from this thread, so enlighten me of OSMC. BNB

Hulu, other streaming/ small channels.
Yes, Futureman was a decent Sci-fi show without too much time involved. I look forward to a second season.

Hulu, other streaming/ small channels.
I have been enjoying "Looming Tower". It is about before 9/11. Jeff Daniels has been excellent. The finale is tomorrow. "Chance" was very good. Hugh Laurie, and especially Ethan Suplee were great. I watched the first season of "Shut Eye," with Jeffrey Donavan from "Burn Notice". It was good. I have not watched the second season. Anyone else?

Looking for patio furniture
Ok, I had been avoiding this thread. https://austin.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=wrought iron furniture&sort=rel Great furniture for sale. My sister got all of her furniture sold through Nextdoor.com . Like Rage stated , people will pay for anything if it is your neighbor selling it.

Realtor here. I just got a threat from a boyfriend. I was to meet a girl today, she didn't show up and the boyfriend called when I was on property. Without threatening me he threatened me. Kind of scary. I've been at it for awhile and I have never had that situation. I keep a knife on me, but I was not prepared for a phone call like that. I use a program, that I guess was disabled when I upgraded Android the other day, that recorded all my calls. I need to get that working again.

The movie you just watched
I thought it was meh... I would much rather watch something from the Western thread. Just my opinion.

Lost in Space - Netflix - April 13
No, I just found that article. They mentioned another book (of Asian origins, I think), that I didn't look up at the time. It sounds like like they were putting in 3 billion on a few projects.

Two espisodes in. I agree with an article that I read that it is really kid friendly. The production value is great, like someone mentioned. I just read an article on a few shows Amazon has in the pipe. I can't find the article anymore, but it mentioned one show based on a book, that they planned to spend a billion dollars on. Crazy.

The Rider
I will watch. I remember loving "8 seconds," when I was in college in the early 90s. I had a roommate that I would drive around with sometimes, to the circuits in east Texas. He got stomped on once and broke his shoulder, and said he would quit. Nope, stomped on again right next to his groing, nope. Still wanted to ride. I went and practiced with him a couple of times. I was just given "Jr. bulls" I was thrown pretty quick, and ran my ass off after. That is quite a rush.

You made me look at it on IMDB. Three actual brothers? Interesting. What captured me was this picture looks exactly like the Schofield Kid from Unforgiven. But, obviously decades later it is not. There is no good pic of him on IMDB, or I would post it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6217608/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Bosch - Season 4 - Starts April 13
Through about 8 now. It is a slow burning show. Ouch on Episode 5. I love Bosch and the other characters. Titus, Jamie, Amy , and Lance do a great job. The writing is great. I always look forward to it. I am looking forward to watching the wrap up.

Android Thread
I just started getting lazy about texting. I hate typing on my phone. So, I had been using Mighty Text. I just read an article, Google Android is finally going to naively allow you to send and receive texts from your PC. Same article, I didn't realize there was an app called Samsung SideSync, that allows you to do anything on your phone on a PC. I just got it working. It seems pretty great. https://www.androidauthority.com/text-on-desktop-855019/ https://www.samsung.com/us/sidesync/ https://mightytext.net/

Andre the Giant Documentary - April 10 HBO
They stated he could of had some treatment done during his WWF years that would help him, but he didn't want it to effect his career, he declined, so I believe so.
