heather played the game for the first time last week. that fake rumor thing turned the whole tribal council into chaos, which accomplished her entire goal.
you must have bought the vip tickets for the pappy or btac tastings. only one year was i able to try all 10, then they started making you pick one tasting or the other. you seemed to have had a little from each.
I'm wondering if she wont use it. she has no idea her name is being thrown around for the next tribal. she also doesnt seem like a baller so might play it safe instead of ruffling feathers. will be interesting.
i watched a good bit of it last night. like most posters that have replied i was impressed with the baseball skills. i did think biden should have gone over to the gop dugout also, or at least the pitchers mound. someone has got to set the example and put party aside for the greater good. i know that sounds stupid in a baseball game but it would have shown true leadership.
yet they took her advice and voted the way she wanted. makes no sense. i thought they realizing what a nutjob she is and were going to side with they guys and vote her out. really dumb. i could never play this game. i disagree with every vote so far. all three people voted out were useful, athletic, helpful, good tribesmen and people. yet they keep around the lazy, stupid, crazy, unathletic schemers and liars.
the series is uncomfortable to watch, but very good. heavy on the dialog, almost like it was written for the stage. havent met him yet but already think poli is a douche.
the political correctness is none too subtle. me no rikey.
disagree with both votes. the first tribe should have stayed strong, and the second tribe needs to get out the young dude that lied to them. both of the people voted out would have helped their tribe. the chick wasnt strategizing at all and was no threat whatsoever.
disagree. no pressure on card whatsoever other than what he unwisely would choose to put on himself. if he fucks up we bring in thompson and still win.
there will be a few but don't let your expectations get too high. mainly it's an opportunity to try 400 or so bourbons without buying the bottle. try all the belle meades, try all the boone county's, etc. here's another pro tip after a disastrous first year: skip the gin and scotch. the three dont mix. that's just my advice, and i know it's tempting because they have some great ones, but i've stuck to just bourbons on the last two trips and come out okay. last year they had some 40yo armagnac and i did sample some of those. just try not to mix too many liquors is my point. i wouldnt pass up the armagnacs.
i shouldnt be surprised at the uproar over this but i am. this was inevitable from the get go. this was always going to happen. the afghan people need to decide what kind of people they want to follow and consider leaders. we cant make them choose. we propped them at a great expense of dollars and american lives. it's their battle now.
that extra hour is key. most of the swag will be gone by 6, but mainly a good chunk of the good bourbon. four roses usually pulls out some rare shit. one year brown forman had 6 different years worth of birthday bourbon. i tried all 6. pro tip: use the dump buckets. there's a shitload of bourbon there, and they give you decent pours. take a sip and dump the rest out or you'll be a goner before you make it down the first row.
one of the values of the show to me is the pappy/btac tastings. for $125 you get 10 ml of all 5. there are very few bars in the world that even have all 5, but if they did you'd likely pay more than $125. it's nice to try all 5 side by side. the first year they let you do both, but now they are at the same time (4-5) so you have to choose. i've bounced between the btac and the pappy and have done 2 tastings of each in the 3 years i've gone.
there is a texas room too. good people in their, though their bourbon is not up to snuff yet. real ale had an interesting bourbon last year.
