  1. I just ran the Houston marathon (2:49), and I employ pretty much the same fueling strategy these days. I use the Maurten 320 caf drink mix and split it into 2 small, 8 oz water bottles. I carry the first one until about mile 14, and I had a friend give me the 2nd one at mile 16. This allows me to take in electrolytes throughout the whole race, and I can largely avoid water stops. I use 6 Maurten gels throughout the race - 2 Caf 100s and 4 regular 100s or 160s. I use a gel about every 6 to 7K or 30 minutes. I start with a Caf 100, then use regular ones, then use the other Caf 100 around mile 17.5 and finish with a regular one around mile 22. If you talk to the Maurten reps, they'll say to use them every 6K. I also use gels on long runs and for workouts but not nearly as many - just 1 or 2 depending on the length of the long run or workout. It's really important to train your gut and see how it responds to calorie intake while stressed. Use a bunch of different gels while training, and see how your body responds. Maurten is about the only gel I can use that will make my gut and body happy.
  2. You can file a Hatch Act complaint anonymously. Of course, the Office of Special Counsel is closed while the government is shut down so no one will do anything about it for now.
  3. It'll get built still. It'll just be on the '26 bond ballot.
  4. Why would anyone in Amarillo go to Shipleys when they've got half a dozen Donut Stops to choose from? Amarillo is a shit town (also my hometown), but they've at least got donuts figured out.
  5. Sanya Richards and Aaron Ross are already on that.
  6. Highly recommend Maurten Solid 160 or BPN's Go Bar for a carb-packed granola bar alternative. Also, LMNT prior to or during any longer ride for sodium replacement during the warmer months.
  7. I've been to 14 I think. Oracle is definitely top 3, but I'm biased. I agree that the Nationals stadium is pretty terrible. It just doesn't have anything uniquely appealing about it. Camden, on the other hand, just up the road in Baltimore is an absolute gem. That park really set off the trend of moving parks back into the urban core and making them an anchor for placemaking and revitalization.
  8. Well, fortunate for you HB 2812 has no chance of passing since it was never even given a hearing, and the deadline for getting one has long passed. I'd recommend you stay on top of this issue, though, and schedule a meeting with her during the interim (between June of this year to December of next year). And keep your eyes out to see if she files the bill again in the '27 session. If she does, get involved in the legislative process from the outset. You'd be surprised the impact even one motivated constituent can have on the legislative process if you're committed to being engaged in it.
  9. Didn't know about her, but wiki has informed me that was Clemens, and she was of age apparently.
  10. I'd keep Rose out for the statutory rape of a 14 year-old. I don't think that's getting nearly enough attention.

The Latin word for left is "sinistra." It's the origin of the word "sinister." In Ancient Rome, if you were born left-handed, you were presumed to be evil because you were in the minority. Some of that folklore made its way into more modern times hence the graph above - basically forcing southpaws to use their right hand to fit in with the majority. I'm fairly certain that's what you were getting at.

Because it's a dumb exercise to begin with if it's epidemiologists researching it. Do you need epidemiologists to document the number of "straight" cases we have every year and what can be done to treat them?
