Wwatched it last night and agree that he didn’t come off as bad as I thought he would. Not a nice guy by any means, just doesn’t seem to give a fuck, but seemingly a good family man and obviously had a messed up childhood.
Maybe this has been covered, but my wife told me she heard that Talarico was being groomed to run for governor and the TDP and Beto had been planning it for over a year when Talarico then went to DC to meet with a national democratic consultant and was talked into running for senate instead, derailing the entire plan. Any truth to this?
No way he did that whilst actually peeing. Handwriting (dickwriting?) is way too good and how did he not have the letters connect? Was he pinching it off between letters? Not worth it.
The thing that gives me pause here, as I’ve seen these sentiments in my own family (minus the tariffs), is that they could be saying things are fucked up on both sides. Sort of like the polls that show Rs that think democracy is broken. They think it for very different reasons than everyone else.
I wish this were always the case. My in-laws are some of the most well traveled people I know. They have been to every continent except Antarctica and many of those countries multiple times each year. They still somehow think America is the greatest thing since sliced bread, especially in its current iteration.
I mean, we tend to joke, but this seems to be reality. If we take it as fact, why don’t we just remove these motherfuckers when it becomes apparent they are going nuts? Maybe that should be a thing. “Hey, seems like you’re getting a little wild on the authoritarian and/or genocide thing. Maybe let’s take a look at your downstairs mixup and determine if you should be jettisoned before you kill us all, yeah?” I don’t think that’s too much to ask.
