Speaking of Werther's, anyone else try their flavored popcorn? HEB had a bogo special so I had to give em a try. Ate one bag without setting it down. I'm a slut for these.
Bumpin' this thread because I'm heading to Frisco/McKinney this Friday thru Sunday evening. Going solo and staying near the Toyota Stadium and playing in a tournament at the Gabe Nesbitt Complex. Haven't been in this area in 15 years, so any recs for good food, drinks are needed. Looks like there is quite a bit to choose from but not familiar with the local places other than hitting up Tupps Brewery at some point.
Also , driving up from the Austin area Friday morning hoping to get there before traffic is God awful if that's possible.
Gotta admit, I didn't know what the connection was to breakfast and hobbits. Had to google it since I haven't watched any hobbit related movies. Don't care. Already had some shredded wheat and bananas and saw that there's some leftover pork loin from last night. That's gonna get chopped up for breakfast tacos in about two hours.
I like to have breakfast twice whenever I can. When I get up I'm ready for coffee but not on a empty stomach, so something easy like cereal, oatmeal, toast with jam etc. Couple hours later is when the real breakfast urge hits and it's a lot of the stuff already mentioned along with one of my favorites huevous montulenos. Maybe the second breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Gotta ask, why a diet coke instead of a regular if your eating a pack of tacos? Calories are obviously not a concern. That's like putting curb finders on the space shuttle.
This is so true. First time I rented a car after flying into LAX the guy was giving me the look over for any dents etc. I asked if was going to check lights, signals and such, dude just looked at me and said ; signals are for the weak and tourist, then tossed me the keys and walked away.
Still can't get used to the bikers that go between cars at full speed though, that seems like a death wish.
I feel the same way about sour beer as some of you do about IPA's. Tried a few of them, including Jester King, and they just don't do it for me. Don't care for ciders either, or pretty much any carbonated drink.
I was always in the team mustard camp and considered mayonnaise/miracle whip the devils slop. Then had home made mayonnaise{red wine vinegar type) and it was a game changer. 4-5 ingredients and maybe 15 minutes of your time and say adios to the store bought crap.
Yeah, it would be nice to see another player get a chance on Sunday. She just didn't appear to be up for the match, the crowd was really supportive too.
Was at the Fed Cup in SA. Keys just never got going, like she was sleep walking through the match. Stephens at least showed up and put in some effort in her win. I took a loss as well, paid $9.00 for a Modelo(hangs his head in shame).
