Day shows look free... March 11th night show looks great!
  2. ...and now we're on the same page
  3. OK ok... how about... I'll just sub one ingredient in the chili... "Texas Turkey Chili" or maybe a dash of liquid smoke
  4. Assuming Costa Ricans will allow Americans by then
  5. New forecasting tool to be unveiled...
  6. bruh... you have to be the only one in Austin who thinks this. Maybe the dude who owns COTA.

  8. Yeah, that's not what I was asking. Just wanted to understand if the data was accurate since it looks like we're off to a better year than 2024. But thanks to both of y'all for taking it in a completely different direction. For comparative purposes, the past 4 years, we were at 11-16 homicides by now.
  9. Actually that was the band you were thinking of @Armybrat
  10. First off, as a Longhorn, F UT and the direction it seems to be taking. Second, is this still accurate as of March 3rd? Source: https://www.kxan.com/news/crime/austin-homicide-map-2025/
  11. I personally like the place. Have no problem seeing shows there. What would be a better alternative for that size show?
  12. Which reminds me... what are the spring break dates this year for the major school districts? I know AISD is basically the week of the 17th whereas I think HISD and SBISD are the usual week of the 9th. AISD used to be synced up but I can't remember why they moved it back. I suppose if you're going to a place with other Texans, being "off" by a week is a plus.
  13. Looks like they'll be part of Levitation @jimmyjazz finally had a chance to watch The Point really cook last night... can't remember the guitar player's name but I like his approach to playing. Good stuff. Nico killed it on drums, especially playing with Beto.

Takes balls to come up with a name like that and OWN it

Definitely in on that. Here's a couple more but realizing the more lineups come out, the less I can keep up.
  17. Yeah... it can be an absolute blessing or curse depending on the weather conditions. The good news on Serre is that it is famous for tree skiing, too and if the weather sucks, there's plenty below treeline: https://www.shipskis.com/blog/5-top-resorts-for-tree-skiing-around-the-world/ but I have stayed in places like Obergurgl where the base of the mountain was 1930 meters so tree skiing was pretty much non-existent. I will say that if you want to try skiing in Europe, I really like Serre. Can recommend other places but the one exposure I had to it blew me away. On a side note... "A huge ski area of nearly 4,000 hectares, Serre Chevalier ski resort extends for 15km along the valley to include the towns of Briançon, St Chaffrey, Chantemerle, La Salle Les Alpes and Le Monêtier-les-Bains. More than just a ski resort, the area's wonderful history is best expressed in the old Vauban Fort that dominates the skyline above Briancon. The fort's main street, the Grande Rue, was originally constructed in the year AD1345!" 4,000 hectares = 9,800 acres. Whistler Blackcomb is 8,171 acres.

Freak Slug is one I'd like to see. Really like this song... Molotovs sound good. Maruja looks intense.

  20. So excited... went ahead and booked a private guide for a day to take my son and I freeriding in Serre Chevalier. This is a great article discussing some of the better locations/lines: https://wepowder.com/fr/weblog/2021/09/14/the-best-freeride-lines-in-serre-chevalier Lots of good tree skiing And a majority of Euros love staying on piste so the ones who like to go off piste get the goods since a lot of areas are massive and can stay untracked for a long time...
  21. Sorry but the Elizabet Ney is a gem... maybe it is incorporating the art and cleaning up the grounds. I've seen that they try to keep them relatively wild and full of native plants throughout the year. It could certainly look better.
