  1. I get the feeling they should have clarified that the 'S' doesn't stand for 'sheep'
  2. Only if they're on point
  3. Fuck. Now I really hate Flood. He just made me agree with something Nahlin said.
  4. I agree with Gerry on this one. Assistants deserve criticism if they do a bad job. It's on the head coach if there is no accountability for doing a bad job. To paraphrase George W. Bush, "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me... can't get Flood again!"
  5. This whole discussion is weird. Experience may be necessary, but is not sufficient to win a championship. There's no magic formula - all else being equal, experience is going to win out. But that's true for talent and coaching too. The better combination of talent, coaching, and experience is going to win most of the time. That was true this year and every other season ever. Bill Snyder could coach circles around Mack Brown so talent differential didn't matter most years. TCU had a ton of experience and got sodomized by Georgia, who had better talent and coaching. IU had the best combination of talent, experience, and coaching this year. So did Michigan and OSU in the previous two championship runs. Cignetti didn't reveal anything new about the game of football. He just demonstrated that he's a hell of a coach and a great judge of talent.
  6. He was an early adopter, but probably out of necessity rather than foresight. Kiffin didn't like recruiting highschoolers and couldn't compete for top tier talent with Bama, etc. He's a good talent evaluator so it worked. It'll probably work even better at LSU.
  7. Flood can't coach guards so Sark is doing some kind of Jedi mind trick and only signing tackles.
  8. Nothing like a year in College Station to help you realize Texas is your dream school.
  9. This is the eligibility equivalent of soaking...
