  1. We're heading there (i.e., Vail) 25th-2nd. Wife had back surgery last year so she'll be content with Sourdough, but I was really looking forward to the bowls. From what I've seen the front side cruisers are in decent shape and hopefully the snow coming up later this week or early next will help out some. And at my age, I'm fine just skiing Riva Ridge over and over again. Love that run.
  2. I'm with Futureman on this. He's a former rugby player. I've seen rugby wings and fullbacks take down props going full speed with no pads. It ain't fun. But it's doable.
  3. Dirty's onion rings circa 1990 were the best in town.
  4. If you like St. Louis style with provel cheese, this one slaps. Found it at Central Market North.
  5. first time I felt up tits stories > golf cart and E-bike bitching
  6. Golf carts are thick in Rollingwood all of a sudden. Teens and preteens drive them to McDonald's on Bee Cave and all the shops in the Randall's center. Haven't seen any on the other side of Bee Cave (that's COA).

Mentioned the burger before, but if you have an hour or two to kill on a cold day (like today), there's worst ways than spending it by having a couple of local beers at Balcones Supply Co. and then hitting up Old Oak Burger for a smash burger (beers now shown).
  8. Just walked down to the end of my street that overlooks 360. Saw one (1) car in 5 minutes. It was COVID like dead.
  9. Angel Fire base this afternoon. May go up and ski a few runs on the back tomorrow. Drove to Taos today for groceries but didn’t go up to the mountain. But Wheeler peak from the east doesn’t look that great either. Gonna be a brutal year for NM.

Damn I was there 2 hours ago eating a BLT on the deck. I could have got negged in person!
  11. Downtown Austin is amazing now compared to what it was 10 years ago, let alone when I moved here in the 80s.

We've rediscovered Uppercrust lately. Their almond croissants are killer. And you can pre-order for the Holidays.
  14. Old Oak. New place on Main St in Marble Falls. Slams a good hard.

El Mercado South is closing next week. This one hurts. I've been going there since 1988. Maybe not the best food, but great folks and always easy to park and get in. De Nada is taking over the space.
