I still can’t believe how Bobby alienated the soccer community and continues to do so. There are a bunch of us who would love to be part of the “sellout” crowd tonight but won’t be attending any games because of his approach.
Sorry about that. Would guess 50-70 that weren’t from the team. Not sure how many of them were Seton or Hispanic Chamber people. Guessing quite a few. Not many random interested spectators. They are definitely going hard for Hispanic market. Makes sense given location.
Didn’t learn too much. Speeches were uninspiring. Bobby was even more boring than usual. Announced community benefit was a portion of ticket sales going to Dell Childens, which was a bit interesting considering that Seton is kit sponsor. It’s like they are writing a check back to themselves. Crowd tried to chant at the end, but it fizzled big time. Kit does look nice.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. Interesting to see the strong comments from Casar, who seemed pretty quiet through the whole deal up to this point.

MS 150 finishing there again this year, but I’ve heard they are looking for new locations after this one.
Epstein might have more money to fix the track if he’d stop wasting it on garbage petitions to try and stop MLS.
Wait, I’m pretty sure that wasn’t actually 6. Good schtick.
Was in a meeting with CM Flannigan today and he tried to start up a “7-4” chant. I laughed.
Yup yup. Zanates, Grackles and Trash Birds are all acceptable.
Crowd crushed it tonight. So loud. And, I'm pretty sure Alexi Lalas and I are now bros for life.
Mayor's not worried, we're not worried. Way more interested in the news about the team starting to build the front office staff.
Also did a FB live broadcast from McKalla on New Year's Day. It's hard to believe that mess of a site is going to turn into the renderings posted above before long, but it's very exciting!
There’s a thread for this shit in a different forum.
Also HAR HAR HAR EVERYTHING THE CITY DOES SUCKS is the lowest and least productive form of discourse.
@wood Hypocritical like a guy from Columbus who was coordinating with Linda Curtis on opposition to the Austin deal suddenly upset about "out of towners" organizing against Columbus?
We need a new land development code before we get decent mass transit, regardless of how good or bad those in charge are. Hopefully, we are finally working on these things in tandem since Prop J got shot down.
I do like the vision of the Cap Metro CEO. I hope he gets some things done before the good old boy network runs him off. Think he’s too east coast to last for a long time, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
