Trivial Things That Make You Surly
Liars and thieves. Kenny Rogers lied to me. Next time I'm counting money at the table. I had a woman contact me about playing bagpipes at her mothers funeral. I told her it was $200 and confirmed the time/location. When I arrived this morning she handed me a sealed envelope thank you note, I opened it and saw money in it, but didn't take it out to count it. When I got home, I discovered that she only paid me half. I sent her a text and said "if you lost half of it, I'll repay you later". There is no way I lost half of it because I never took it out of the envelope. I've done this for years and never had anyone pull this shit. She knows I caught her in a lie and I know she has no intention of paying.

22% of men (incl. Kevin) don't realize that a chimp would fucking wreck them
Same type of thing happened to me. I was mowing the back property of our house next to my neighbors shed. All of a sudden I felt like I was on fire. Africanized bees had built a huge hive in the wall and my mower pissed them off. When I realized what was happening, I didn't even bother stopping the mower, I just outran the little bastards. It was probably the fastest 100 yd dash I ever ran and luckily the house doors were unlocked. I got stung 21 times and was killing the little bastards in the house as they continued to sting me. Hours later when I went to get the mower they came at me again when I was 50 yards away. I called a beekeeper friend who said they when they tag you they leave a pheromone that tags you as an enemy and they will go after you if you get close. When he tried to remove him he had to give up because he said they were too aggressive. I hoped they knew it was me who bought the poison when he exterminated them.

Tell Me About Texas a&m
From the Texags thread on dropping the corps march in: I haven't seen an in-stadium march-in since I was a student and half of those times it was because my friend was pretty much a bootchaser. Does this imply that that there were women at A&M whose first criteria for choosing a man was that they were in the corps?

Tell Me About Texas a&m
I was at a party two years ago, where I knew a couple of young Air Force guys. One was a flight weapons officer who graduated from the Citadel and the other a C-130 pilot who graduated from VMI. Some guy who had a desk job in procurement at the base, came up to them and started talking about how rough it was being a corps turd and and how much the corps at A&M had in common with VMI & The Citadel. They just smiled a lot and rolled their eyes when he left. They said it happens every time they meet a corps grad and that the majority of them were dweebs.

Getting old sucks
I had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder 6 years ago. When my doctor took x-rays and MRI's to confirm, he said "I'll see you in a few yours for the other one". My appointments Monday.

Random thoughts that don't warrant a thread
Right after we got married, my company had a sales promotion for it's dealers and some of us got to go to Hawaii. My wife was terrified of flying and had read that the safest place to be was in the rear of the plane. So we got seats in the last row on a 747, in the smoking section. As soon as we were airborne and the pilot turned off the no smoking sign, the cabin transformed into a 70's bar. Everyone in the cabin lit up at the same time and it looked like a fog had set in.

Tell Me About Texas a&m
And to think it's going to happen in spite of their history as a military institution. The iconic Corps of Cadets go far toward shaping the Aggie gameday experience. To honor tradition and the university’s roots as a military institution, the presence of the 2,200 members can be felt as they make their way through campus. https://today.tamu.edu/2023/06/28/corps-of-cadets-announces-march-in-schedule-for-2023-football-season/

Oddly brand specific, but nevertheless I'm IN.

This. In fact my mom never had a car. We were a one car family. My dad would drop her off at her office in downtown FW and pick her up after work.- Tell Me About Texas a&m
When I was in HS, our French teacher mentioned Wesson Oil parties in class one day. When we asked what a Wesson Oil party was, she said "rubber sheets and a bottle of Wesson oil". We were a little stunned and too naïve to take the hint.- Random thoughts that don't warrant a thread

I believe most will choose the LMTFA option.- Random thoughts that don't warrant a thread
After going to several very long funerals, I told my wife to keep mine simple. Have my group play bagpipes, tell everyone how much I loved them, mention I tried my best to follow JESUS, and close it with Freebird. They can cuss and discuss me on their own time at their leisure. I also told her that as an option, she could fold me up and put me in the deep freeze so she could continue to receive my social security checks or stick me in the roll out trash dumpster and take me to the curb, to save on funeral cost. I don't think she will though.- Trivial Things That Make You Surly
Makes me surly because it reminds me of all the business pricks I've run into over the years. I don't wish anyone's death and feel horrible for the other people on the sub and hope they are rescued. But I hope the CEO who ignored all the warnings is contemplating his asshole-ness. https://techcrunch.com/2023/06/20/a-whistleblower-raised-safety-concerns-about-oceangates-submersible-in-2018-then-he-was-fired/?fbclid=IwAR1Ys5XCY6VQY-GYxJOoL5vsYFfHkh8tFFVZswo8qXxL2o89wHxcis8pKrg TLDR; the CEO of the Oceangate was warned 5 years ago that the sub going to the Titanic was not safe. He said he didn't care and he didn't see any need to test it because he was smarter than every engineer that designed subs. Then fired the guy who told him and sued him to shut him up.- Tell Me About Texas a&m
Somebody made the mistake of blaspheming E King Gill on Texags. Quote: he is quite the celeb in C.Stn even though his time was in the 1920s really, all he did was stand up during a game when everyone was falling, and he didn't even get to play. while volunteering to play is a nice gesture, i think deifying him is overdoing things. his fame/adulation far exceed his achievements and deeds no offense. Nice troll job... I will respond any way. I wouldn't say he has be "deified" but he certainly started something that has transcended what the student body represents for generations. While you are correct he never got to play, he stood ready to go in just in case he was needed and that in my opinion was pretty damn cool and worthy of the accolades he has received over the years. Here was a guy who didn't play football, but was willing to get out there and fill a spot just to make sure his team had enough players to continue on. In my opinion that tells me that he was a great Aggie and willing to do whatever it took to support his team and I admire that. 20231569- This Guy Got Knocked The Fuckkkkk Out
Too bad he couldn't do that to all of them.- Post a pic that makes you lol
This stuff isn't a prank. It's stupid shit. They all deserve to have their asses kicked.- Pics of parking douche baggery
Six restaurants and enough parking for maybe 4. There not putting many new businesses on the south side but they're putting in so many houses it's going to cause problems eventually. Except for HWY 83/84 every other road is a single lane county road or FM. People are paying/asking stupid money for land. I can understand in Austin, FW, Dallas, etc. But $45K an acre for land that was selling for $2K an acre 10 years ago is just insane.- Pics of parking douche baggery
- Are you and your buddies close enough to do this
I think it might refer to this guy mentioned in the article. And I'm "to each his own" but these guys are pathetic. He keeps it dark in the room, to obscure everything in the room that isn’t porn, and a large-breasted sex doll without a head or limbs stays close at hand.- Getting old sucks
It could be a lot of things causing it. If you don't have a family dr, I'd try to get in with a urologist to start. But I would get in ASAP to get it checked out.- Getting old sucks
Welcome to the old man club. I've never had mine shut down completely but I've seen older guys crying because they couldn't pee. Last time my PSA jumped to 15 it was because i had an infection/inflammation. My doc put me on 600 mg of Ibuprofen a day (1 600mg tablet a day) for a month and it cleared it up. Good luck- Dumbass Shit We See On Facebook
Does he mean he's on a snipe hunt? Because he doesn't have rifle.- I’ve lost everything
^^^This^^^ I had a really good friend from college that had gone through some real shit. Years ago, his wife left him and her and her mother tried their best to destroy him. She even went as far as calling nationwide AM radio talk shows to spread lies about him. She lied and caused his kids to hate him. Her mother helped finance lawyers that financially bled him dry. He tried solving his problems with booze. I moved and didn't get to hang with him but I always stayed in touch. I called him last year and he was ready to check out and told me to expect it. I kept trying to talk to him but he said he would go out on his own terms. Then he quit returning my calls. That was a year ago. I called him last week and he called me back and we talked for 3 hours. He finally went to a doctor who understood and diagnosed his narcolepsy. He's being treated with the correct medication and has a new outlook on life. He's still got issues but they are things he can deal with. TLDR version; Seek outside help. You can do things online if your not comfortable seeing someone in person. Self medication is not the answer, it's only temporary and the problems do not go away. - Wives and the Stupid Shit They Say/Do
