Life is amazing like that. But this all hits close to home because the first girl I dated multiple times after my divorce was from in town for a few months from Guayaquil. When we met, she asked me if I'd heard of Guayiquil, and I said "yes, of course, I'm Gerardo's #1 fan," and I got a laugh and it all went well from there.
I was idly thinking while showering this morning. What if bitcoin's (etc.) primary use case, even if not initially intended to be so, was to cover up sex trafficking, illegal oil shipments, and all sorts of gnarly stuff like that? And all the Epstein and other stuff will reveal that it was the currency for that shit, leading to greater regulation and, perhaps, a prohibition on it? Could it be that those in the know see the house of cards falling and are fleeing the sinking ship? Looking for optimism wherever I can find it.
A genuine fuck you for not being in a position to take over for your wonky Level 2+ system. You put yourself (whatever, based on what I've seen) and others at unnecessary risk.
I'm a big fan of "prepare yourself if you want something on a flight."
Want your baby in a window seat? Secure a window seat in advance.
Wanna sleep on your 7am flight? Secure a window seat and close the window, or bring one of those eye masks. Don't get mad a window-down guy.
Don't like FA/pilot announcements waking you up? Bring noise-cancelling headphones.
And so on. I'm not mad at jdhorn. I'd ask that he close the window, but it's like asking the person in front of you not to recline or window-lady to give up the seat to the baby. I'd prefer they do the cool thing but it's their space, their prerogative.
