I don’t know the targeting rules, but the defender most definitely didn’t lead with the crown. Made contact with his face mask while defending a pass. If they toss him it will be some BS.
Who was the driving force behind this off-seasons choice of going with all the average receivers? Dak friendly? Was it Garrett or management? I don’t know what dak friendly is but the offense looks just like the second part of last year. I’m hoping it was Garrett and this is management telling him that failed so we will try this. I long ago quit getting upset about cowboys football. They are still my favorite pro team and I try to watch every game. However, I quit getting upset years ago and just watch for the entertainment. Will be fun to see how this turns out.
I agree. I want to hear what’s actually happening or just happened on the field. I want to hear insight into why something worked or didn’t work. Instead we start the pre game (college or pro) with some personal story and then continue all these storylines throughout the game.
Absolutely. My thinking is that you have the rest of this year and next with dak. If dak doesn’t improve then fire Garrett. Bring in a new coach, a veteran qb and the new coach will have 1 year to determine if he rides with dak before we extend him.
before this trade I was hoping Garrett would be let go, new coach comes in with a veteran qb and a decent first round pick next year to get his qb.
I guess I would be fine with this if the following happens:
1. Give garret the rest of the year and if the offense doesn’t perform better fire him.
2. New coach can spend next year evaluating dak (maybe another wr upgrade after this season)
3. New coach either improves dak or we move on.
we probably weren’t going to use the 1 on a qb anyway.
yeah, I don’t know why they get such a pass. I don’t watch and analyze all these games that a bunch of folks do, but every time I’ve watched them it was just meh.
I was flipping between this game and others. There was a portion there that I saw four out route passes from the MSU QB that were so far out of bounds the WR had no chance. I don’t know anything about MSU or their QB but from what I saw he wasn’t even average.
I think this is different than skipping out on a generic bowl after the season is complete. His evaluation wasn’t until November. We don’t know when he could return. Could he return in time to help Ohio state reach the big championship and the playoffs? I’m not sure why he’s deciding this now. Did the family have some similar deal with his older brother that’s affecting this decision?
I don’t typically rewatch games but I may rewatch this one. I want to see if the production was as bad as I remember. Watching live was a beating. I think the pace of the game was weird and there felt like so many stoppages and commercials. Then tack on espn’s constant shots of the Brewer family, history and Charlie not being offered. Just a boring viewing experience.
