I watched the game at a local bar in Dallas. The owner of the bar is there almost every day. Nice guy, white dude in his sixties, someone you would probably tag on the conservative side. I only heard one person bring up the halftime show and then he loudly answered back, "Don't even start that shit. We're watching the Super Bowl and it's staying on the halftime show. If any of you want to watch something different then look it up on your phone" I thought, yep that's how you squash that nonsense.
I don't think anyone advocating for kids to get up and get active were wanting them to go literally play in traffic. There is obviously a happy medium there. And yeah we've all done a lot of stupid shit, but no one wants to see such a spike in injuries and deaths like this weekend.
How is it legal to be on a city street in something motorized when you're under 16 and don't have a drivers license? And insurance is out the window. I honestly don't know where you supposed to drive all these things. Cars don't want you out in traffic with them, bike lanes aren't necessarily built for it, and nobody wants you on the sidewalk going 30 mph.
