Presidential Biographies
Just finished his The Zealot and the Emancipator about John Brown and Lincoln. He reads very easy. Will have to read more of his.

Bastardizations that work
My dad preferred it with buttermilk, but it was rarely available in our house, as he was the only one who would drink it. He grew up on a farm outside Savoy, Texas. With whole milk, he called it "cornbread and sweet milk". He especially liked it for breakfast with any cornbread left over from the last night's supper. Probably not a lot different from corn cereals.

See how many western characters you know
Didn't see The Man from Snowy River. Thought Tom Burlinson might be Audie Murphy. Happy to see Gene and Roy. I grew up watching them. I think a lot of these were one time cowboys, like Tom Hanks will soon be.

Right actor, wrong movie. Little Big Man.

Favorite Christmas Song
I miss this and Darlene Love's Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home) with Bruce Kapler's baritone solo on the old Late Night.

Txtag website and customer service
Same problem with non recognition. On this home page, link allows you to set up account with new software. Requires email address your account was under. They email you and it lets you set up. Also requires a stronger password than the old site did. After doing so, it connects you with old account, but not all historical data.

Netflix Recommendations
Thanks for the heads up. I always like to watch films of things I saw in real time (via television and newspapers, I wasn't in Chicago). Interesting comparing the presentations to what I can remember. Sorkin should do a commendable job.

2020 Hurricane Season w/ special guest Covid-19
Yeah, but Port A doesn't need a foot or more of rain all at once.

What was your first football game to attend?
Probably some unimpressive SMU game in 62-63 was first college game I was in high school ROTC and we ushered games at the old Cotton Bowl. I didn't watch closely, as I had to work it. First Longhorn game was the 1964 Cotton Bowl Classic. Older brother was a plebe at USNA, I was a high school junior planning on attending UT. He got the tickets, but I had the most fun. No work involved. I still like to gloat.

I'm here to vent about Sirius XM Radio
I mainly listen to Outlaw Country on SiriusXM. It usually has enough variety for me. I like that they play George Jones, Ernest Tubb, GP, Todd Snider, Dale Watson, and Willie. I like classic and rock influenced county. If I get tired of it (or Johnny Knoxville and Roger Alan Wade are on) I usually dial up Underground Garage, or the '50s or '60s stations. I do think OC plays too much Lucinda Williams and Ray Wylie Hubbard. They're okay, but I don't like a lot of their stuff. I would rather play my IPhone playlists, as I can choose country, rock, jazz, or blues, but my car doesn't have bluetooth or an input plug, and I have been unhappy with ways to get around that. I've found enough new music on OC that I have picked up several songs and artists for my playlists.

The Bob Dylan Thread
As the thread says "Getting Old Sucks." I forgot that I saw him with Paul Simon, too. BTW Larry Campbell was in that band also.

The Bob Dylan Thread
Saw the spring leg of the RTR at Austin Municipal Auditorium in May of 1976. Desire had only been out a few months, and it was great seeing Dylan and Baez together and Dylan backed by Scarlett Rivera. Really enjoyed Roger McGuinn and Mick Ronson also. Only saw him once again at the Austin Music Hall in 1995, with guest appearances of Doug Sahm, Ian Moore, and later bandmember, Charlie Sexton. Probably won't see him live again.

The Bob Dylan Thread
Two of my favorites (this side of Highway 61 Revisited) are Blood on the Tracks and Time Out of Mind. I also like Desire, but think it might be less intriguing to non-fanatics. I think some of his later stuff is consistent with the old stuff -- just different. Maybe because I've aged with him. I never got into the Gospel years albums, nor his foray into Sinatra like music.

Piano/keyboard songs you like
- Getting old sucks
Just spent three days helping my son and daughter in law move. I have pressure bruises up and down my arms and all over my belly and chest, from carrying furniture and other heavy objects. I look like I took the Tillamook County Lie Detector Test. Partly because of the 80 mg aspirin I take every day (age related also). Feeling blessed that I could still do it. I have friends my age (70+) and younger who wouldn't have been able to do that.- Port Aransas
Aren't they letting a driver drop off their group at the barricades, so less walking and carrying for everyone except the driver, who has to find a place to park and walk back to join the group?- People who are so fat (no moms please)
