  1. This feels true. The Ott situation just left a bitter residue there that nobody can (or is willing to) fully explain, even after they're both gone.
  2. Offside rules even at the half line go by any goal-scoring part of the body, so anything but arms have to be on the defending side of the line. His whole upper body was leaning across, so they've got to call it.
  3. It's the cooked texture of the cheese, for me. It ends up being like partially dried elmer's glue. It's liquid underneath and has a skin on top. If you can approach it like it's pizza-style nachos, you'll have a better time than if you compare it to pizza.
  4. My dad played with Harris at OBU, they overlapped a bit.
  5. Fully agree. If there's no common goal, then it's just 100 years of self-interested decisions by all relevant parties stacking to create something beautiful and then tear down what was created. Shoutout to the Who Killed College Football podcast series.
  6. Brian Lepak from KSU. He has done some great work with the room in Manhattan. If it's either him or Witten, that's a significant upgrade over what's been happening.
  7. Strong is one that confuses me. He seemed set to be a big part of the rotation next year, and those guys have been getting a TON of snaps and attention. There's some noise that he's just publicly checking his value to try to negotiate for an increase. It's what Stone did, and that worked out alright, at least so far.
  8. During the injury shuffles, yes. By the end, they moved Fodje in to Guard and put a recovering Simmons out at RT instead of having Howland play. That's probably the writing on the wall that he wasn't going to see meaningful time. It does suck because they're going to have to replace him with someone who also doesn't stand too much of a chance of starting for the next two years on top of a tiny recruiting class.
  9. I've got this planned for Sunday. We like mixing the leftover jus into some mayo to make a spread for the steak sandwich.
  10. In the words of a zen master as told by Gust Avrakotos, "We'll see".
  11. Reading between the lines of some comments from the staff, they were pretty hamstrung by the terrible performance across the board last year. They refer to it as "negative recruiting", but it's just honesty from other programs since confidence was at a generational low. It really cratered a lot of the 26 class, and rightfully so. The hope is to address any immediate needs in the portal and hit 27 as hard as possible with the playoff momentum in tow.
  12. I need to update my recipe. I'm either not using enough stock or cooking it too long.
  13. What's the news on the stuffing?
  14. We did one in 5th grade, but that was a tiny one in the playground as part of a history lesson for the 100th anniversary.
  15. You're seeing it now, Florida isn't going to have an appetite to hire a lower-tier coach at this point because they nicknamed their last guy "Sun Belt Billy". Even so, he had the Saban association working for him, or he may not have gotten the look in the first place.
